Christian Louboutin Brings a Grandiose Fusion of Fashion, Dance, and Art to Paris Fashion Week! With a Spectacular Poolside Show Featuring David Lachapelle and the French Olympic Artistic Swimming Team.

Paris is Louboutin“. As always, Louboutin’s shows are the crown jewel of Paris Fashion Week. Every season, we eagerly await what Christian Louboutin has in store, and this year was no exception. His Spring/Summer 2025 collection was nothing short of grandiose, and as always, he delivered an unforgettable spectacle.

This season, Louboutin teamed up with visionary director and photographer David LaChapelle, transforming Piscine Molitor into the ultimate fashion pool party. The atmosphere was electric as synchronized swimmers from the French Olympic artistic swimming team performed a 1950s-inspired water ballet, choreographed by Blanca Li. The twist? They wore Louboutin’s Miss Z heels, their red soles flashing through the water as they danced and dove in perfect unison.

A CELEBRATION OF MOVEMENT AND ART

Louboutin, known for his off-beat and creative show concepts, celebrated his deep-rooted love for movement and dance. The entire show was a tribute to movement, something Louboutin, LaChapelle, and Blanca Li all share a passion for. As Louboutin himself said, “Something the three of us clearly have in common is our love for dance.”

David LaChapelle further explained, “I wanted to bring back this feeling of Hollywood cinema from the 20th century but at the same time create something very contemporary. The beauty is in inspiring ourselves from the past to create something new.”

AN IMMERSIVE SHOW

To add to the atmosphere, the iconic LP performed live, providing the perfect soundtrack for the water ballet. Bubbles floated through the air, while vibrant projections and fountains completed the dreamy, Hollywood-inspired setting. The audience was fully immersed, captivated by the rhythm, the visuals, and the grace of the performance.

A PLAYFUL FINALE

In true Louboutin style, the night ended on a high note. As the performance came to a close, Louboutin himself slid down a giant pair of Christian Louboutin heels into the pool, joining the swimmers in a playful finale. It was a joyful, celebratory moment that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the evening—grandiose, luxurious, artistic, and unforgettable.
