GCDS Fall 2025 Contrasts Gothic Romance With Striking Cinematic Drama

March 2, 2025 – Milan Fashion Week, GCDS Fall 2025

Giuliano Calza doesn’t do subtle. This season, GCDS Fall 2025 unfolds like a gothic fever dream—where vintage meets neon, lingerie clashes with outerwear, and streetwear takes on a cinematic edge. Instead of a runway, Calza delivered a focused lookbook, letting the clothes speak louder than spectacle.

After a whirlwind year—dressing Troye Sivan, Doja Cat, and Karol G, launching a Polly Pocket collab, hosting a horror-themed dinner at Universal Studios, and even recovering from knee surgery—Calza opted for precision over excess. But focused doesn’t mean restrained.

Old Hollywood Meets Pop Culture

The dark, theatrical energy of Nosferatu runs through the collection, part of GCDS’ ongoing collaboration with Universal Pictures. Graphic tees feature Lily-Rose Depp’s eerie stare, sheer bodysuits, and tights nod to the film’s spectral aesthetic. The collars and floral appliqués add a touch of haunted romance. The effect? A wardrobe that moves effortlessly between fantasy and streetwear.

The Art of Contrast: From Grandma’s Pearls to Python Prints

Calza thrives on contradictions. Preppy sweaters are tied over sheer slip dresses, pearl necklaces peek out from beneath thigh-high leather boots, and delicate lace meets oversized furs. A revived Python print from the GCDS archive blends with schoolgirl collars.

Animal prints in focus—leopard slip dresses with neon trims, snake-print leather trousers, and tiger-striped two-pieces—a balance of nostalgia and modern irreverence.

Power Dressing Meets Vulnerability

The silhouettes shift between structured and fluid. Ultra-shiny leather bombers sculpt the body, while sheer tights elongate the legs over sculptural heels. The mini bag trend continues, juxtaposed against oversized outerwear, playing with proportions in true GCDS style.

In the end, GCDS Fall 2025 is a tribute to drama, both gothic and playful. It’s a little bit vintage, a little bit horror, and a whole lot of GCDS attitude. Power and vulnerability don’t just coexist, they clash beautifully.
