A LIMITED EDITION OF FOUR BARRELS FOR BLANTON’S SINGLE BARREL AVAILABLE AT THE END OF THE YEAR

As every year, Blanton Bourbon unveils its annual Limited Edition Single Barrel, still steeped in the 200-year heritage of the Buffalo Trace distillery. Four barrels have been selected for this special edition, which is destined exclusively for La Maison du Whisky. This year, Blanton’s pays tribute to France, one of the only countries across the Atlantic to market its bourbons.

This limited edition does not fail its original Kentucky. The label and packaging feature a map of Frankfort, the home of the famous Buffalo Trace distillery in the United States, which is a national historic monument.

The limited-edition also pays homage to Warehouse “H”, a warehouse built exclusively of metal, instead of the usual bricks, and where the Single Barrel is aged. Kentucky’s climate is punctuated by temperature variations, and thanks to the historic Warehouse “H”, the contact between the bourbon and the barrel remains constant and allows for a unique maturation.

The very first bourbon to be bottled cask by cask in 1984, a process that has since been adopted by many distilleries for their premium whiskies, Blanton’s Single Barrel is a forerunner in premium bourbon. Always from a single cask, each edition is unique and benefits from a meticulous bottling process carried out exclusively by hand: from the filling of the bottles to the labeling and the crating.

This special edition once again embodies the excellence that characterizes Blanton’s and the Buffalo Trace distillery, a forerunner in exceptional bourbons. This limited edition of Blanton’s Single Barrel will be available in La Maison du Whisky stores.

TASTING NOTES BLANTON’S FRANCE CASK EDITION #328:

Nose: Fruity bouquet that offers itself to the first nose with a dominant on cooked apple and wood fruits. Vanilla brings sweetness and cinnamon beautiful touches of spices. We can also distinguish the subtlety of orange peels.

Taste: Powerful attack with a woody taste on cedar and pine sap. The intensity in the first mouth is nevertheless perfectly balanced with the unctuousness of the caramel and the sweet spices.

Finish: Finely spiced with a ground white pepper that holds the finish together nicely.

TASTING NOTES BLANTON’S FRANCE BARREL EDITION #329:

Nose: A fine, spicy first nose with light floral notes. The nose evolves on more pastry spices, wrapped in the greediness of honey.

Taste: The mouth continues the olfactory experience with notes of brioche-like French toast, sprinkled with cinnamon. Candied fruits offer complexity.

Finish: Soft and elegant with a nice structure brought by the woody notes.

This special edition will be available at Maison du Whisky starting price 175€
