Chanel Celebrates 110 Years of Elegance and Grace
January 28, 2025- Paris Couture Week, Chanel’s Spring 2025 Couture
The Grand Palais shimmered under the weight of history and possibility. A colossal double-C structure rose in the center, symbolizing infinity. This was no ordinary runway—it was a statement, a celebration of 110 YEARS OF HAUTE COUTURE. From its inception in 1915, Chanel has been a story of vision, rebellion, and timeless elegance.
The Spring 2025 Couture Show captured all of this, setting the tone for a house preparing to welcome MATTHIEU BLAZY as its new Creative Director. For now, though, the spirit of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel was felt in every detail.

Chanel’s ateliers have long been the heart of its magic. Petite mains crafted buttonholes with precision. Invisible chains in hems ensured perfect drape. For over a century, these quiet traditions have delivered pieces radiating effortless luxury.
The Spring 2025 collection honored these rituals while appealing to a modern audience. Short hemlines dominated. Jackets sparkled with jewel buttons. Camellias, a timeless emblem of the house, adorned trims and accents.
Feathers fluttered on necklines, while tulle dresses shimmered with delicate crystals. A standout look featured a tweed jacket with puffed sleeves, cinched by a thin belt, paired with a pleated mini skirt. It was playful yet unmistakably Chanel.
The bride, LULU TENNEY, closed the show in a feathered pleated skirt with a monumental train. Her crystal-encrusted jacket glittered as she strode down the runway, blending tradition with modern grace.

A Runway That Felt Like Home
The double-C runway was a symbol of continuity. While the setup echoed the layout of Coco’s legendary apartment at 31 rue Cambon. There, she once observed her models from a hidden staircase, a silent architect of modern fashion. Today, that same energy flowed through the show.
The mix of pastel tones, bright magentas, and pops of red hinted at Coco’s love for bold contrasts. Two-tone Mary Jane shoes, a staple of the house, anchored the looks with a touch of nostalgia.
Icons at the Front Row
The front row sparkled with stars who embodied Chanel’s spirit. Charlotte Casiraghi, Grace Kelly’s granddaughter, exuded timeless elegance in a black sequined mini dress. Her messy chignon and minimalist makeup completed the effortlessly chic look.
Kylie Jenner made a striking entrance in a cropped white tweed jacket and matching pleated mini skirt. She paired the ensemble with black pointed-toe pumps and two Chanel mini crossbody bags. Her outfit paid tribute to Chanel’s iconic 1990s designs.
Joining them were Dua Lipa, Lily-Rose Depp, and Jennie, each offering their own take on Chanel’s versatility.
The collection dazzled, and anticipation filled the air for Matthieu Blazy’s debut in September. Renowned for his mastery of craftsmanship and storytelling, Blazy steps into a house steeped in legacy. The Spring 2025 collection, however, confirmed that Chanel is already poised for its next chapter.
As Karl Lagerfeld once said, “Chanel is a concept that adapts to all eras.” This show brought those words to life. It celebrated evolution through the craftsmanship of the ateliers and the bold silhouettes that graced the runway. Chanel’s future shines as brightly as its storied past.
As the models made their final walk, the double-C shimmered like a beacon. At 110, Chanel celebrates a milestone and renews its promise. The Maison continues to honor Coco’s vision with fashion that is timeless, elegant, and unapologetically modern.
