The “Escape to the Valley of the Deer” Experience Takes You on a Taste of Serenity With a Selection of Whisky & Desserts, Specially Designed by London’s Café Royal Hotel Award-winning Pastry Chef Michael Kwan for a Limited Time.
Glenfiddich, the world’s most awarded single malt Scotch whisky*, has teamed up with London’s iconic 5-star Hotel Café Royal to offer an exclusive winter experience “Escape to the Valley of the Deer” at the Hotel’s Green Bar.
Located in Scotland’s Speyside region, nestled in the foothills of the Cairngorms, the Valley of the Deer is where Glenfiddich gets its Gaelic name and makes its whisky.
The “Escape to the Valley of the Deer” experience is a true combination of elegance and luxury, allowing you to enjoy a moment of serenity amidst the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping in the English capital, from early December until February 28, 2022, next to Piccadilly and Regent Street.
The experience begins with a never-before-seen tasting of whisky & desserts, devised by Café Royal’s award-winning Pastry Chef, Michael Kwan. The limited-edition menu includes a pistachio macaroon paired with Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Gran Reserva, a Nyangbo chocolate ganache paired with Glenfiddich 23 Year Old Grand Cru and a vanilla toffee candy paired with Glenfiddich 26 Year Old Grande Crown. Alongside this is a Glenfiddich cocktail menu, including the Glenfiddich High Ball, Whisky Sour, Old Fashioned and Sazerac.
Created by the renowned Mary Lennox studio, the floral design brings the bar to life with beautiful arrangements of flowers and herbs surrounding two large abstract brass antlers, representing the iconic Glenfiddich logo. The scenic escape continues on the terrace, with plenty of heated seating in soft neutral finishes, contrasting with the glass and metal surfaces.
The Green Bar, renowned as one of the capital’s best bars, has been celebrating cocktails and mixology since 1965, and the focus on 1920s and 1930s cocktails makes it a must for a Glenfiddich cocktail of choice. The marriage of Glenfiddich and the Café Royal Hotel is the height of sophistication and a real treat for those looking to escape and relax in central London this winter, after doing some shopping at nearby Fortnum & Mason, The Whisky Shop and Hedonism Wines, for example.
