ALCOTRAZ

From the orange jumpsuit you are provided upon entering the establishment to the metal-barred cells you will be seated behind, you will feel like an old Hollywood prisoner in Alcotraz. The notorious Wild West bootlegger Clyde Cassidy will give you insider information on how to do you own smuggling. Guests can sneak their own liquor past the warden with the help of prison guard-dressed waiters who are luckily on the prisoners’ side. Instead of a pre-set menu, Alcotraz will make unique cocktails from the smuggled liquor of your choice with homemade syrups, liquors and bitters. Unlike real life behind bars, you will be served a delectable meal from the prison canteen and the prison hooch is actually bespoke cocktails. Alcotraz also has its own line of Prison Hooch that you can buy a bottle of as a delicious souvenir.

THE MURDÉR EXPRESS

Go back to the 19th century as you board this glamorous train carriage at Pedley Street Station. Louisa Ellis, a Masterchef finalist, has crafted a decadent four-course meal. Their braised blade of beef or sage gnocchi and buttermilk panna cotta dessert is to die for. You can also order an eccentric cocktail from aptly named Sevin Sins bar. As the train’s name suggests, your lavish experience will soon be interrupted as actors dressed in 1920s attire will reveal that evil is a foot. You will meet a music hall star, a local antique dealer and of course an adventurous widow are just some of the characters introduced. Everyone is a suspect and guests can watch the fast-paced story unfold and speculate about the culprit with their table.

THE BLETCHLEY

The Bletchley is located with the Chelsea Funhouse. It is a 1940s cocktail bar that gives you the chance to participate in some code-breaking to earn your cocktail. You will receive a military-style jacket and spy gadgets upon entering the bar. Mixologists will craft your perfect, personalized cocktail while you use WW2 Enigma machines and Sherlock’s deduction principles to solve mini-mysteries. Your favorite modern cocktail will receive a vintage spin and the recipe will become you and the bartender’s secret. If you aren’t ready for your night to end, you’re in luck because the Chelsea Funhouse has two more floors. Chelsea Black is a chic martini bar and Jolie is a vibrant, flower-filled French restaurant.

ABQ

Located at the Hackney Funhouse, ABQ is the world’s first molecular cocktail bar. Guests are able to cook and infuse their own cocktails and enjoy a welcome drink as they do their experimenting. Whether you are in the RV or the Lab you will feel like you are on the set of Breaking Bad as guests are provided bright yellow hazmat aprons. Dry ice, beakers, syringes and infusers will all be used to craft your flavorful concoctions. The Dry Walter is absolutely sublime with dark rum, coconut liquor and Aperol. Guests will use nitrogen cavitation to foam and infuse grapefruit and ginger. The award-winning Saint Pizzeria is in-house, so guests can enjoy a freshly baked sourdough pizza with their cocktails.
