JEAN-FRANCOIS PIEGE AND MOMA GROUP’S NEW TABLE HAS TAKEN OVER THE HOTEL DE LA MARINE, IMPORTING THE RIVIERA SPIRIT INTO THE HEART OF PARIS – OPENING SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2021.

MIMOSA

At Moma Group, it all started with a deep desire to offer original, unusual and unique experiences. The location has played a big role in achieving this. Benjamin Patou, president of the group, explained, “We have a dual requirement: high quality cuisine and high quality ambiance, in outstanding spaces. An evening in one of our restaurants must outshine a night at the movies or a good series at home. The decor, the ballet of the team in the dining room and the demanding dishes are the ingredients of a new French art of living: contemporary and breathtaking.
At MIMOSA, there will be the type of cuisine that I love to eat, the one that, with each bite, makes the sun shine and the joy of living sparkle, like an endless summer!” said Jean-François Piège.

Imported from Australia in the 18th century by the British navigator and explorer James Cook, mimosa is one of the many blessings from the other side of the world that was brought to our continent. At the Hôtel de la Marine, MIMOSA will marry three ingredients: nature, pleasure and sun. For Jean-François Piège, “MIMOSA is an ode to France, its exceptional products, its heritage and its identity. And to achieve this, nothing artificial, complicated nor overwhelming: simply a mimosa egg bar, a dazzling setting and a generous menu. Combining Capri, the 60s, the Nice revival, the sun-drenched South and the Riviera spirit, MIMOSA promises to be Paris’ most appealing dining spot. A one-way ticket to happiness and light, pleasure and magic, generosity and festivity, all brought to you by unique location and architecture.

HOTEL DE LA MARINE

Built in the 18th century by Ange-Jacques Gabriel to house the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne, it was long home to the Ministry of the Navy. Its golden columns have seen the revolutionaries pass through, Louis XVI beheaded, the Obelisk of Luxor standing on the Place de la Concorde, slavery being abolished, the French celebrating the Liberation of Paris… More than many other places, the Hôtel de la Marine symbolizes the very core of Paris and French identity. After several years of renovation led by the Centre des monuments nationaux, this extraordinary building complex finally opened to the public in June 2021. A new chapter is opening for the Hôtel de la Marine, a new place of discovery, strolling, gastronomy and art accessible to all.
