“LA ROSÉE” EMERGES AS A SYMPHONY OF ANDALUSIAN ELEGANCE, A TIMELESS DANCE BETWEEN SPANISH HERITAGE AND PARISIAN HAUTE COUTURE. THROUGH THE STITCHES AND FOLDS, JUANA MARTÍN PAINTS A CANVAS THAT TRANSCENDS BORDERS, INVITING THE WORLD TO IMMERSE ITSELF IN THE POETIC BEAUTY OF ANDALUSIA.

In a captivating rendezvous between Spanish elegance and Parisian haute couture, Juana Martín, the illustrious designer hailing from Cordoba, unveils her collection “LA ROSÉE” on Monday, January 22, 2024. Taking its place in the official Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture calendar, the collection is a homage to the Andalusian spring, capturing the essence of morning dew, evening light, the fragrance of fresh flowers, and the allure of late sunsets.

Rooted in the rich tapestry of Andalusian traditions, Martín draws inspiration from the region’s unique cultural and artistic heritage. The collection pays tribute to the 100th anniversary of Julio Romero de Torres’ iconic painting “La Prima” in Cordoba, infusing the Parisian runway with the spirit of Malaga.

The designer’s creative vision delves into the heart of Andalusia, embracing the intricate wicker craftsmanship deeply embedded in the region’s towns. Brocades adorned with sacred motifs, meticulously crafted religious goldsmith’s art, and wicker accents in various forms weave through the collection. Embroidery and crystals, reminiscent of morning dew, cascade over garments, creating an immersive experience into Andalusian tradition. Martín explains, “Many garments seem to be sprinkled with dew, even the flowers.” The collection captures the play of light, reminiscent of Andalusia’s unique luminosity that bathes flamenco dancers on festival days and illuminates every narrow street. Pure light!

True to her signature style, Martín remains devoted to her favorite colors – black and white – now infused with the radiant hues of Andalusian spring. Fluid fabrics, delicate lace, silver accents, and recycled materials breathe life into the traditions of the era, celebrating Holy Week, fairs, and the blossoming of flowers between the bars of balconies.
