Balmain, the iconic French fashion Maison, has unveiled its highly anticipated luxury fragrance collection, Les Éternels de Balmain. This groundbreaking line of eight all-gender Eaux de Parfum marks the debut of Balmain Beauty and represents a fusion of the brand’s rich heritage with a forward-looking vision of beauty. Spearheaded by Creative Director Olivier Rousteing, Les Éternels de Balmain seeks to redefine the meaning of beauty, emphasizing inclusivity, love, and unity.

Olivier Rousteing, the creative force behind Balmain, has once again expanded the boundaries of the brand with the introduction of Les Éternels de Balmain. Known for his innovative approach to Balmain’s French heritage, Rousteing infuses the fragrance collection with a powerful message of identity and self-expression. For him, beauty is deeply intertwined with fashion, serving as an essential part of one’s silhouette and a reflection of individuality.

Balmain Beauty gives you the freedom to live your truth, free and powerful. Beauty is about being yourself and having the confidence to embrace who you are,” said Rousteing. “Fashion cannot exist without beauty, and beauty cannot exist without fashion. Beauty is part of your silhouette, of who you are, just like the way you dress. I want to represent all the beauties of the world and welcome everyone without exceptions.

Les Éternels de Balmain embodies this vision, taking 21st-century Paris to the world and promoting a collective quest for self-discovery and transformation.

The Scents

The Les Éternels de Balmain features eight unique scents categorized into four olfactive families: Musk, Amber, Floral, and Woody. Each fragrance is crafted to evoke a deep sense of identity, freedom, and self-discovery.

Rousteing personally led the creative process, from concept to completion, drawing inspiration from Balmain’s archives. He reimagined four of the brand’s legacy scents—Vent Vert, Ivoire, Ébène, and Carbone—and introduced four new creations: Sel d’Ambre, Rouge, Bronze, and Bleu Infini. Together, these fragrances form a collection designed to resonate with a global audience.

The Olfactive Power of Les Éternels de Balmain

Les Éternels de Balmain features a unique blend of future-forward elements and legendary ingredients, offering a deeply personal olfactive experience:

Carbone (Musk) captures the quest for identity and freedom, blending maximalist musk with minimalist rose.

Sel d’Ambre (Amber) illuminates the path to inner peace with glowing amber and salty ambergris.

Vent Vert (Floral) reinvents the iconic green fragrance for a timeless journey through past, present, and future.

Rouge (Floral) captures the addictive allure of Los Angeles’ magic hour with a blend of radiant woods and a captivating bouquet.

Ivoire (Floral) carries Balmain’s New French Style legacy to the world, uniting all forms of beauty with tubéreuse de nuit and untamed vetiver.

Bronze (Woody) symbolizes rebirth, rising like a phoenix with blazing cedarwoods and cooling patchouli.

Ébène (Woody) revives Pierre Balmain’s 1983 Africa-inspired fragrance, reinterpreted through Rousteing’s discovery of his origins with eternal ebony wood and precious myrrh oil.

Bleu Infini (Woody) transports the wearer to endless skies and infinite seas, calling for freedom with warm cistus absolute and salted lichen.

The Flacon Design

The design of the new flacon for Les Éternels de Balmain is a modern reinterpretation of Balmain’s first fragrance bottle from 1946. The bottle’s sleek design features elongated shapes. Signature black and gold colors, and a multisensory experience that ties together the past and present. The cap’s graphic PB monogram, inspired by Balmain’s iconic 1970 labyrinth motif, serves as a visual representation of the collection.

Les Éternels de Balmain is available now, heralding a new era for Balmain Beauty. This collection signifies a step towards an inclusive, avant-garde future where fashion and beauty celebrate diversity and individuality across the globe.
