Explore “De Toutes Beautés!”—a unique journey through the Louvre showcasing beauty across cultures and eras.

Starting November 13, the Louvre Museum and L’Oréal present De Toutes Beautés!, a new tour inviting you to see beauty in all its forms. This collaboration showcases 108 carefully selected works, tracing 10,000 years of diverse cultures. From sculptures to paintings, each piece offers insight into society’s evolving standards and expressions of beauty.

As you move through the Louvre Museum route, guided by QR codes, you’ll encounter artworks like the Sleeping Hermaphrodite, a marble statue challenging ideas of gender and beauty that remain relevant today. You’ll also find Titian’s Woman with a Mirror, an image of feminine beauty that feels almost modern—like a classic selfie moment. The tour features interactive audio tales, giving each piece a new layer of meaning by connecting historical beauty ideals to today’s perspectives.

L’Oréal and the Louvre Museum’s partnership speaks to a shared value of diversity. “Beauty is subjective, plural, and diverse,” explains Delphine Urbach, L’Oréal Group director of art and culture. With this tour, you’re encouraged to explore and question societal ideals and see how these standards have transformed.

In addition, the collaboration brings the “De Toutes Beautés!” experience to digital spaces. A six-episode web series, directed by Paris-based filmmakers Thierry Demaizière and Alban Teurlai, premieres in early 2025. It highlights young art lovers reacting to these timeless works, sparking discussion on how beauty reflects identity and values.

For L’Oréal, the partnership highlights the brand’s connection to French heritage and its commitment to inclusivity. And for the Louvre Museum, it’s a way to reach broader audiences, inviting them to see these masterpieces in a fresh context. You’re not only witnessing art but engaging in a dialogue that spans centuries. As Gautier Verbeke, the Louvre Museum’s director of public development, says, “The Louvre Museum is universal and wants to help answer questions shaping our society.”
