Missoni New Milan Home Boutique Paints Brera in Pattern

April 9, 2025 Missoni Home, Milan Design Week

Missoni New Home Boutique Choreographs Color, Memory, and Material Across Every Surface.

In the heart of Milan’s vibrant Brera district, Missoni transformed a space into an interactive canvas. This Milan Design Week, at Via Solferino 9, the Italian house opened its first-ever Home-only store- an immersive tableau where textile, color, and architecture speak in unison. Here, design becomes fluid, living, and layered.

From the moment you step inside, you realize this is a journey where patterns flow and textures move. Designed by Lit Studio, the building, a Liberty-style gem, holds onto its roots, with Art Nouveau columns standing tall against contemporary elements like satin-finished metal shelves and exposed surfaces. This contrast creates a sense of balance, inviting you to explore further.

Everything in the space feels alive. Shelving climbs the walls, creating a sense of vertical movement, while the layout remains fluid and adaptable. The space changes as the needs of the brand and the visitors evolve, reflecting Missoni’s ethos of continuous innovation.

Textile as Art

At the heart of the store is Missoni’s signature fabric. Velvets, jacquards, and soft linens are brimming with colors. Throws, cushions, tableware, and even dolls in vibrant patterns are designed to highlight the tactile beauty of these materials, letting visitors connect with the textures in a personal way and as an invitation to experience design as an ever-evolving art form.

La Casa Giardino: A Fusion of Indoor and Outdoor

One of the standout features of the boutique is the latest iteration of Missoni’s collaboration with outdoor furniture brand Roda. “La Casa Giardino,” now in its second edition, blends the indoors and outdoors in a seamless design language. This fusion brings together Roda’s Orson and Lawrence collections with Missoni’s iconic patterns, creating a refined balance with nature. It’s a striking reminder of how Missoni continues to excel in merging the natural world with the interior one.

This new boutique is a milestone for Missoni Home and a sign of the brand’s growing influence in the world of design and lifestyle. Beyond the Milan flagship, Missoni is expanding its reach into iconic spaces. The Principe Bar at the Hotel Principe di Savoia is transformed by Missoni’s signature colors, while La Rinascente’s panoramic terrace offers another opportunity to experience the brand’s vibrant palette.

Missoni has also quietly established its presence in luxury real estate, designing bespoke interiors for prestigious projects around the globe. From luxury residences in Ras Al Khaimah to properties in southern Spain, Missoni is making its mark in high-end living spaces.

For Alberto Caliri, Creative Director of Missoni Home, this expansion is about continuous dialogues. “We’re not rigid,” he says. “We listen. We adapt. This space represents that flexibility. It’s not a showroom. It’s a conversation.” This approach to design is what makes Missoni unique—a brand that values connection and collaboration, always open to new perspectives.
