“EXTRAORDINARY FRIENDSHIPS” IS AUDEMARS PIGUET’S NEWEST TEMPORARY EXHIBITION CELEBRATING THE BRAND’S COLLABORATIONS THROUGH THE YEARS – ON DISPLAY UNTIL DECEMBER 17, 2021.

Swiss Haute Horlogerie manufacturer Audemars Piguet has unveiled its new temporary exhibition “Extraordinary Friendships” at the Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet in Le Brassus, Switzerland until December 17, 2021. Included in the guided tour of the museum, this immersive display takes visitors on an interactive journey to discover some of the long-lasting collaborations and friendships that have marked the history of Audemars Piguet.

Since its early days, Audemars Piguet has continuously looked beyond the craft of watchmaking for inspiration, and instead broadened its visions to include pop culture, sports, art, and the entertainment industry. Over the years, the watchmaker has developed cross-disciplinary partnerships with various celebrities and athletes who have not only been a source of inspiration, but also helped provide the brand with unique ways of sharing its core values.

In this exhibition, you’ll discover nine talented personalities that have contributed to growing the brand’s recognition around the world. Highlights include T-800, the mythical robot of the Terminator movies – embodying the long-standing friendship between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Audemars Piguet; recipes from 3-Michelin-starred Chef Emmanuel Renault, as well as a recreated locker room featuring some of Serena Williams’ belongings.

In celebration of the newly-established long-term collaboration between Audemars Piguet and Marvel Entertainment, the exhibition also presents a room inspired by Black Panther. All through the rooms, you will be drawn into an interactive environment of sound and light dotted with immersive landscapes, and are invited to be a part of the scenery, by operating a music box, demonstrating their golf skills or testing their culinary skills, among others. By playing a role in the exhibition, you are brought closer to the roots of the brand and get to become a part of the Audemars Piguet family.
