CHÂTEAU DU CLOS LUCÉ, IN AMBOISE, INVITES US TO FOLLOW LEONARDO DA VINCI JOURNEY FROM HIS HOMETOWN IN ITALY TO LE CLOS LUCÉ IN AMBOISE.

FIVE HUNDRED YEARS LATER, WALK ON THE FOOTPRINTS OF THE GREATEST THINKER OF ALL TIME

The Château du Clos Lucé Leonardo da Vinci Park has inaugurated last June, new galleries for an immersive experience thanks to digital technologies. You will enter a virtual gallery of paintings where you can contemplate all the painted works of Leonardo da Vinci. Scattered in museums around the world, the Master’s paintings are brought together here in their real dimensions.

Several thematic sequences follow one another, offering unprecedented confrontations and a real dive into the details and the artist’s preparatory drawings.

Visitors are called upon to decode the enigmatic looks and smiles that are juxtaposed and strangely echo from one work to another. Among the masterpieces to contemplate: the preparatory drawings and the analysis of the volumes of the hall of the Convent of Santa Maria Delle Grazie in Florence, at the heart of the famous representation of The Last Supper, painted on the walls of the refectory.

With The Adoration of the Magi, you can also analyze the perspective and composition of the characters. With the series of deluges, you will also be able to discover the background of the paintings, better understand their landscape, the variation of colors, and their bluish tones. A whirlwind of sketches that will follow one another in a fascinating dance!

A TRUE JOURNEY

“The visit begins with the high gallery around the figure of the architect and continues with the immersive show. The scenography of the Galleries has been developed to give the visitor the keys to understanding through an aesthetic and sensitive approach and through interactive, fun and immersive media.” – Anne Carles
