The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has unveiled the preliminary schedule for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Spring/Summer 2025, and it’s set to be a showcase of both familiar and fresh talent. Among the highlights, international labels Off-White, Ronald van der Kemp, and Toteme will make their American runway debuts, marking a significant milestone for these esteemed designers.

The CFDA expressed its excitement about the new additions to the NYFW roster. “The CFDA is delighted to welcome international guests Off-White, Ronald van der Kemp, and Toteme to the official NYFW schedule, holding their first-ever collection showcases in New York City,” the release stated. The announcement also highlighted other first-time participants, including Advisry, Campillo, Michael Fausto, Salon 1884, and TWP.

The six-day fashion extravaganza will kick off on Friday, September 6, with Area leading the charge, followed by Willy Chavarria, who will close the opening day. The week will culminate with the 2023 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund winner Melitta Baumeister presenting her collection on Wednesday, September 11.

The schedule promises an exciting display of shows, featuring notable names such as Brandon Maxwell, Carolina Herrera, Coach, Khaite, LaQuan Smith, Michael Kors, Phillip Lim, Tory Burch, and Ulla Johnson. An intriguing slot on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. remains “to be announced,” fueling speculation that it could be filled by the high-profile label Tommy Hilfiger.

Ralph Lauren and Proenza Schouler are set to showcase their collections in the lead-up to the official season, while the week will also feature 10 mini-show presentations by menswear designers on the opening day. In addition, approximately 15 by-appointment presentations will spotlight diverse designers like Hervé, Veronica Beard, and Delpozo. Several collections will also be presented digitally.

The season will see the return of familiar names such as Cos, Cynthia Rowley, Simkhai, and Who Decides War to the New York catwalks. Notably, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund is celebrating its 20th anniversary this season, with current finalists 5000, Grace Ling, Kate Barton, Jane Wade, Presley Oldham, Sebastien Ami, and Wiederhoeft unveiling their new collections.

Since acquiring Fashion Calendar in October 2014, the CFDA has been the sole organizer of the official NYFW schedule. Founded in 1945 by publisher Ruth Finley, Fashion Calendar has evolved into a crucial digital tool for scheduling and planning within the fashion industry, serving designers, press, retailers, public relations firms, and beyond.
