Schiaparelli Opens, Michele Debuts for Valentino, and Ludovic de Saint Sernin Joins Gaultier
January 8, 2025 – Paris Couture Week 2025
Paris Couture Week 2025‘s extravaganza returns to the Fashion Capital from January 27 to 30, 2025, with 29 shows presenting the 2025/26 Haute Couture Collections. As is tradition, opening the week is Schiaparelli with her avant-garde creations. This season, anticipation runs high for what’s new on the schedule. Ludovic de Saint Sernin makes his debut as the creative force behind Jean-Paul Gaultier. Meanwhile, the spotlight is firmly on Alessandro Michele, as he unveils his first haute couture collection for Valentino—a moment eagerly awaited after his much-lauded ready-to-wear show in September.
Paris will once again welcome legendary couture names such as Dior and Chanel. Joining them are French icons Stéphane Rolland, Alexis Mabille, Julien Fournié, and Frank Sorbier. Italian powerhouses Giambattista Valli and Giorgio Armani Privé will also grace the schedule.
Lebanese icons Georges Hobeika, Zuhair Murad, and Elie Saab bring their signature refinement. Indian designers Rahul Mishra and Gaurav Gupta, Dutch designers Peet Dullaert and Ronald van der Kemp, Saudi fashion designer Ashi Studio, Spanish fashion designer Juana Martín, Imane Ayissi Couture, and Maison Sara Chraïbi are all part of the official calendar.
The week will conclude with two guest houses on the official calendar. Kevin Germanier’s bold and cerebral designs promise to make waves, while Miss Sohee, mentored by Dolce & Gabbana, showcases intricately crafted couture. Both are set to leave a lasting impression.
Jonathan Anderson and Loewe are absent from this season’s Paris Couture Week. Instead, Loewe has announced plans to present a combined men’s and women’s collection in March, aligning with a growing trend among major fashion houses like Fendi and Burberry.
Beyond Paris Couture Week’s Official Calendar
Beyond the official calendar, independent presentations such as Australian designer Tamara Ralph debuts her eponymous house on the banks of the Seine. The Fédération’s Sphere initiative also highlights fresh talent, including Bianca Saunders, Cachí, and Les Fleurs Studio.
