THIS CHRISTMAS, THE RITZ PARIS HAS GIVEN CARTE BLANCHE TO ILLUSTRATOR MARIN MONTAGUT TO POETICALLY CELEBRATE THE ETERNAL PARISIAN CHIC OF THE PRESTIGIOUS MAISON DE LA PLACE VENDÔME
Marin Montagut‘s desire to “sketch” the Ritz Paris in an original way is a testament to his eternal love for the City of Light and to the fact that the capital is inseparable from this emblematic address. Together with Natalie Bader Messian, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Ritz Paris, they have created a poetic, limited-edition table art collection.
Marin Montagut has created a collection of his favorite objects inspired by the emblematic universe of the Ritz Paris, such as his collection of secret books inspired by the 18th century, entirely handmade in his workshop, to hide the secrets of the hotel or, as in the past, little love notes…
Wonder windows, to put or hang on the wall to offer a window on the imagination (landscapes and 3D scenes, entirely cut, painted and glued by hand). An opportunity to leave with unique and exclusive objects, as each hand-painted piece is numbered.
Also, a cushion and two silk squares represent the emblematic elements of the Ritz Paris designed by Marin: the legendary façade, the groom bear, the Vendôme column, the madeleines of François Perret, the lime trees of the garden…
Finally, Natalie and Marin boarded the train to Limoges to create a collection of porcelain tableware with the famous Haviland Manufacture. With this collection, the Ritz Paris and Haviland, the hotel’s preferred porcelain supplier since 1912, continue to write their shared history, a symbol of Savoir-Vivre and the art of French hospitality.
By mixing his poetry with the objects and his fantasy with his creativity, Marin Montagut has translated his contemporary and sensitive vision of a timeless emblematic address well anchored in its time.
