As the festive year draws to a close, Roger Vivier enchants us with the magical unveiling of its ‘Paris in the Snow‘ collection for the holiday season of 2023. Under the creative direction of Gerardo Felloni, this collection captures the brilliance and glamour of a romantic winter landscape, envisioning the City of Light blanketed in soft coats of pure snow.
The visual campaign, starring French actress Camille Razat and photographed by Marcin Kempski, transports us into a cinematic white landscape. Against the backdrop of Haussmannian buildings and wrought-iron lampposts, the whimsical spirit of a white squirrel carved in ice and snow comes to life, all under the benevolent gaze of a crescent moon.
Unveiling in two chapters in November and December, just in time for the festive season, the 2023 Holiday Collection presents a myriad of offerings that add a sparkling touch to year-end celebrations and New Year festivities around the world. From black and white buckle loafers adorned with tweed to delicate sandals and crystal-frosted pumps, each creation is a gleam of luxury.
Pearlescent metallic textures abound, ranging from pale candy pink and washed gold to silver, ivory, and black. They grace the “I Love” heeled pumps, the “Trompette” peep-toe mules, and the flat “Très Vivier” Mary Janes.
Adorned with classic tone-on-tone embellishments, evening bags in textured tweed, silk satin, and metallic leathers reflect the noble expression of French craftsmanship. The Flower Strass buckles are a recurring detail on structured bags and soft clutches, while a top handle covered in a ‘torchon’ spiral chain is adorned with dazzling crystal accents. Beaded or covered in graphic grids of strass and sequins, surfaces and hardware transform into sparkling works of art, with corresponding displays of craftsmanship observed in headbands, handbags, jewelry, and shoes.
The spirit of Roger Vivier’s “‘Paris in the Snow” 2023 collection permeates flagship stores and boutiques worldwide with specially crafted window displays and in-store presentations. Hand-painted mirrors depict snow-covered Parisian rooftops, and glittering snowdrifts showcase the collection on organic platforms, reimagined from Paris to Shanghai, Tokyo, London, New York, and beyond.
About Camille Razat, the French actress gained international fame in 2020 with her role as Camille in the Netflix hit series “Emily in Paris” alongside Lily Collins. Starting her career as a model at the age of 16, Razat has performed in numerous theatrical productions in Paris, as well as in French and English short and feature films, including Clint Eastwood’s “The 15:17 to Paris.” Living and working in Paris, she has been collaborating with Roger Vivier since 2021.
