For the first time in the Champagne region, Maison Ruinart opens its storied estate in Reims to the public, without requiring reservations or entry fees. It’s a groundbreaking invitation to experience the oldest Champagne house in a way that brings you directly into the heart of its history and craftsmanship. Nestled at 4 Rue des Crayères, Ruinart’s estate offers an authentic, unfiltered glimpse into the world of premium Champagne.

As you enter through the discreet Chemin des Crayères, you’ll be greeted by a scenic pathway. Designed to mimic the limestone of the famed chalk crayères wine cellars below, this path leads to 75,000 square feet of lush, artfully curated gardens. Landscape artist Christophe Gautrand infused this space with a modern touch, complementing Ruinart’s 300-year heritage. It’s an experience that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking.

At the estate’s center stands the striking Nicolas Ruinart Pavilion, an architectural masterpiece by Japanese designer Sou Fujimoto. Inspired by the light and effervescence of Champagne bubbles, the pavilion features mirrored surfaces and glass that play with natural light. This space connects the property’s historic charm with a contemporary edge, blending old and new. Inside, a hidden gem awaits—a cellar holding some of Ruinart’s most cherished bottles, including rare cuvées and exclusive releases. Here, you’ll find vintages like the 1926 bottle, recently returned from Paul Bocuse’s collection, and exclusive “dégorgement tardif” bottles available only at this location.


Inside, the Bar by Ruinart offers a carefully curated menu of seasonal drinks and champagne cocktails. The bar highlights Maison Ruinart’s craftsmanship with unique offerings like the “Royal Shiso,” a blend of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and green shiso leaves, and the classic French 75 with a twist. Chef-in-residence Valérie Radou elevates the culinary experience with both sweet and savory delights, crafted to celebrate the finest seasonal ingredients, pairing perfectly with Ruinart’s bubbles.


Over the past two years, Ruinart has revitalized its 2.9-hectare estate, combining elegance and innovation.
