The Glenrothes has just made a remarkable debut on the French market with its latest limited edition whisky, The Glenrothes 42. This new release is carefully selected by the Master Whisky Maker Laura Rampling and has been aged for over four decades on the Glenrothes estate, making it a unique and rare product with only 1,134 bottles available worldwide.
The Glenrothes 42 is a work of art that perfectly embodies the delicate and fruity character of this Speyside distillery. The bottle’s shape is inspired by the oak staves of the casks and was hand-blown by the British crystal maker from Devon, Dartington Crystal. Laura Rampling blended the juice from four sherry casks, shaped in particularly high stills to produce a light and fruity distillate. The result is an elegant whisky that reflects the attention to detail that has gone into its creation.
Of the 1,134 bottles produced, only six allocations will be available in France. The Glenrothes 42 will be available for purchase at select retailers, bars, and high-end restaurants for €7,500. It’s a price that reflects the rare and special nature of this release, which will no doubt appeal to whisky enthusiasts and collectors alike.
In a world where mass-produced products have become the norm, it’s refreshing to see a distillery like The Glenrothes creating something truly unique and special. The Glenrothes 42 is a testament to the distillery’s commitment to producing high-quality and exceptional whiskies. An investment worth making for those who appreciate the magic and alchemy of whisky.
