THE LANCASTER HOTEL AND PLASTIKS HAVE LAUNCHED A NEW RANGE OF NFT ‘S FEATURING A UNIQUE LUXURY EXPERIENCE IN ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HOTELS IN PARIS WHILE HELPING TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF PLASTIC WASTE IN THE ENVIRONMENT.

For Lancaster, combining environmental sustainability and luxury has always been of great importance. Over recent years, the Hotel made significant changes to reduce its energy consumption and carbon footprint.

The In-room beauty products, for example, are now available in large refillable containers and are manufactured by a local company that uses only vegan and organic products. Chef Sébastien Giroud also focuses on the use of local and organic products.

While the next step is not always easy for a 5-star city hotel, Lancaster Hotel decided to take the plunge with Plastiks and introduce a first-of-its-kind sustainable luxury NFT range.

These NFTs are the first in the world to offer a unique luxury hotel experience while helping to keep plastic waste out of the environment.

The collection is composed of 15 NFTs, each of which offers you 1 night for 2 people in one of our rooms, breakfast for 2 people, and a VIP welcome in your Parisian home.

By creating these NFTs, the hotel sponsors the startup Green Mining to recover 15 tons of plastic from the environment in Brazil (1000kg/NFT). To date, Green Mining has collected more than 4.25 million kg of recyclable materials and avoided more than 700,000 kg of CO2. The Lancaster being a hotel it seemed appropriate that each NFT represents one of their 54 rooms.

When acquiring these NFTs, you will also sponsor the recovery of an additional 1000kg of plastic, being able to choose the country in which you want to help and the project that best fits your cause.

“Through the use of NFTs, guests feel more involved in the sustainability chain and its action is absolutely traceable and transparent.” By using NFTs, the Lancaster Hotel wants to be able to share its commitment and share it with its customers.

The Lancaster is a house with a large heritage having been in existence for 100 years, where art has always been in the hotel’s DNA as evidenced by the large collection of artworks scattered throughout the establishment. Hence, it seemed only logical that art should be the link between heritage and projection into the future of Web 3.0.
