FROM JUNE 18 TO JUNE 22, 2021, MONACO CELEBRATES THE 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF ONE OF THE OLDEST AND MOST MAJESTIC TELEVISION FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD.

THE FESTIVAL

The Monte-Carlo Television Festival was created in 1961 by Prince Rainier III, in tribute to his wife Princess Grace. It takes place every year in June at the Grimaldi Forum and rewards the best international television productions. This year, it will take place from June 18 to June 22, 2021. The festival includes meetups with international stars, behind-the-scenes conferences about the series’ backstages, screenings and signings, as well as a fan zone to gather television enthusiasts in the glamorous setting of Monaco. The festivities will be this year particularly attractive as the festival celebrates its 60th anniversary.

THE NOMINEES

This coming Tuesday, June 22, 2021, to end the festival in style, the Golden Nymphs Ceremony will reveal the 2021 winners of the best TV programs from around the world. The nominees include more than 60 television programs from over 30 countries. The competition is divided into two categories: Fiction and News. In the Fiction category, nominees include series such as the Spanish ANA. all in directed by Salvador García and Gracia Querejeta or the American series Made for love by Alissa Nutting et Dean Bakopoulos. In the News category, you’ll find Storming the Capitol: The inside story produced by ITN Productions in the UK, as well as the Portuguese The diagnosis : Covid-19 produced by TVI. Each of the winners will have the honor to be awarded the prestigious golden nymph statuette.

OPENING EVENING

The festival has two highlights for you to have the most prestigious evening along with the celebrities who will be there. The Opening Ceremony, Friday, June 18, 2021, from 17:30, accessible by VIP pass.
