Few nights define the Cannes social calendar quite like amfAR Gala Cannes. On May 20, two nights before the 80th Cannes Film Festival draws to a close, the annual black-tie gala will return to Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes.

For more than three decades, amfAR has occupied a coveted place in the final days of Cannes, when much of the Festival crowd shifts from the Croisette to the Hôtel du Cap. The gala draws the who’s who of the Cannes Film Festival, from the year’s biggest stars and filmmakers to international celebrities, major philanthropists, and some of the most influential names in fashion and luxury.

Inside amfAR Cannes

Dinner is followed by the live auction, one of the signatures of the night, where contemporary art, rare luxury pieces, and exceptional experiences have generated some of the gala’s largest bids over the years. Fashion is another fixture of amfAR Cannes, with Carine Roitfeld curating its annual fashion show across multiple editions and looks from major houses subsequently auctioned for the charity.

The night then shifts toward music. amfAR has consistently drawn major performers to Cap d’Antibes, with recent editions headlined by artists including Cher, Duran Duran, Ciara, Adam Lambert, Robbie Williams, Zara Larsson, and Lizzo.

The scale of the fundraising reflects the caliber of the room. The 2026 gala raised $20 million, its highest total in a decade, following more than $17 million in 2025 and $16 million in 2024.

Tickets & Tables

Individual tickets and table bookings for amfAR Gala Cannes are available through Babble-Up Concierge.
