Luxury & Celebrity Events in Doha 2026

The Fashion Trust Arabia Prize returns to Doha for its eighth edition on November 28, bringing together emerging MENA designers and leading names from the international fashion industry for its annual awards ceremony.

The 2026 competition features 21 finalists competing for seven awards, spanning Ready-to-Wear, Evening Wear, Accessories, Jewelry, the Franca Sozzani Debut Talent Award, Fashion Tech, and the Guest Country Award. Winners receive financial grants, year-long mentorship, and international retail and industry opportunities, including placements at Harrods and Ounass for selected categories.

This year's Advisory Board includes Clare Waight Keller, Erdem Moralıoğlu, Mary Katrantzou, Dilara Findikoğlu, Nina Garcia, Anna Dello Russo, Susie Lau, Ashi, Delfina Delettrez, and Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, among other international fashion figures.

Mexico is the 2026 Guest Country, represented by three finalists: Patricio Campillo of Campillo, Neithan and Anga Ruiz of NEITHAN HERBERT, and Camila Banzo of Banzo. Supported by Vogue Mexico and Latin America, the partnership introduces a dedicated seventh award.

The 21 finalists will present their collections to the international jury in Doha on November 28, followed by the awards ceremony that evening, when seven winners will be announced.

Art Basel Qatar enters its second edition with a more ambitious curatorial vision, positioning Doha at the intersection of the Middle East's art scene and the international collecting market.

Under the artistic direction of Iraqi curator Wassan Al-Khudhairi, the 2027 edition explores between / بين, a theme examining the exchange of cultural identities, histories, and artistic perspectives across borders.

The fair features 80 solo-artist presentations by 82 galleries from 37 countries and territories, with approximately half of the participating artists originating from the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia.

Among the international galleries are Gagosian, David Zwirner, White Cube, Lisson Gallery, Pace, and Sprüth Magers, alongside regional galleries including The Third Line, Lawrie Shabibi, Green Art Gallery, Athr, and Sfeir-Semler Gallery.

The artistic program spans established masters and contemporary voices, with presentations dedicated to Andy Warhol, Maurizio Cattelan, Anish Kapoor, Lucio Fontana, Dana Awartani, Monira Al Qadiri, Hassan Hajjaj, and Ibrahim El-Salahi, among others.

Beyond the exhibitions, Art Basel Qatar introduces the Collectors Majlis, an invitation-only initiative connecting emerging collectors with leading figures in the art market through masterclasses, private encounters, and cultural experiences.

The fair unfolds across M7, Doha Design District, and selected public spaces in Msheireb Downtown Doha, with private previews, a Vernissage, and three public exhibition days.
