The Fondation Maeght devotes its summer programme to the collaboration between photographer Peter Knapp and designer André Courrèges, revisiting a pivotal moment in 1960s fashion. At the centre of the exhibition, a 1965 photographic series shot for Elle magazine captures the Courrèges woman in motion, airborne and radical. Silhouettes from the Courrèges archive accompany the prints, tracing a dialogue between fashion and image that helped define what modernity looked like.
