A New Chapter for Manolo Blahnik With His Boutique Opening at Bon Marché.

Manolo Blahnik has landed in the heart of Parisian luxury, opening a chic new boutique inside Bon Marché Rive Gauche. Surrounded by icons like Dior, Chloé, Celine, and Chanel, this elegant space reflects Blahnik’s signature style and artistry with refined yellow accents.

The boutique showcases his Ballets Russes-inspired Fall/Winter 2024 collection. Expect timeless silhouettes, from delicate straps to square toes, reimagined with luxurious materials like crocodile-effect leather in vivid and neutral shades. Designs include the multicolored patchwork on the Estho and Esmaa models and the vibrant patterns on the Oyounak and Tamer.

Paris holds a deep significance for Manolo. Of Czech and Spanish descent, he initially studied law in Geneva but was drawn to the world of art and design. In 1975, he moved to Paris to attend the École des Beaux-Arts. Eventually, he settled in London, where he opened his first boutique in 1971. There, he designed shoes for leading UK designers like Ossie Clark, Jean Muir, and Zandra Rhodes, with his most notable collaboration being with John Galliano, whose catwalk shows often featured Blahnik’s creations.

The Bon Marché location cements Manolo’s bond with the City of Light, a city he has always considered a second home. His first Parisian store opened in Palais Royal in 2019, alongside cultural landmarks like La Comédie Française and the Ministry of Culture.

Le Bon Marché, the world’s first department store founded in 1852, has long represented Parisian elegance and luxury. Blahnik’s new boutique joins a legacy of top designers collaborating with this iconic Rive Gauche institution.

Manolo’s career, spanning over five decades, has left an indelible mark on luxury footwear. With stores worldwide, from New York to Hong Kong, his creations blend fantasy, craftsmanship, and elegance.
