AMAN’S SIGNATURE REFINEMENT IN THE HEART OF THE FRENCH ALPS WITH A SPA THAT IS A DESTINATION IN ITSELF FOR WELLNESS LOVERS. TOP IT UP WITH NAMA’S IMPECCABLE JAPANESE CUISINE AND THE DIRECT ACCESS TO THE SLOPES FROM THE SKI ROOM.

Nestled in Courchevel 1850, directly on the Bellecôte slope, Aman Le Mélézin has one of the most ideal locations in the resort, offering guests all the benefits of sunshine, on and off-piste skiing, and magnificent views of the surrounding forest and mountains.

Overlooking the Bellecôte slope in Courchevel 1850, with free access to over 600 kilometers of pristine trails ideal for downhill and cross-country skiing, Aman Le Mélézin is an iconic alpine refuge, a refined sanctuary inspired by the timeless serenity of the surrounding mountains, designed to relax and recharge amidst the snow-covered pine forests, under a luminous blue sky.

Open from December 10 to April 10, Aman Le Mélézin is ready to welcome its guests for the new season, adapted in practice – taking all appropriate measures in accordance with current guidelines – but unchanged in spirit. Ideally located to radiate into the Trois Vallées ski area, the hotel is committed to ensuring that its guests make the most of the winter months.

Escorted by a team of experienced Ski Butlers – who transport ski equipment from the heated lockers in the state-of-the-art Ski Room to the slopes – skiing at the hotel is effortless. Guests of all ages can enjoy private or group lessons with Aman Le Mélézin’s expert instructors or by joining Courchevel’s renowned ski school.

FIRST TRACKS EXPERIENCE

For those wishing to access the quieter areas, the hotel staff will be happy to direct guests to iconic backcountry locations. New this winter, Aman Le Mélézin has created an exclusive experience called First Tracks, which takes guests to the highest point of the valley (2740 m) at sunrise, where views of Mont Blanc and the Grande Casse await them.

Supervised by an experienced ski instructor, guests can then embark on a breathtaking solo descent down the famous “Combe de la Saulire“, the legendary ski run where, all year round, the fresh snow is sheltered from strong winds, allowing for an unspoiled descent down the side of the mountain. Back at the hotel, a sumptuous breakfast will be prepared to restore and recover from your emotions.

The Aman Le Mélézin also offers many other ways to discover its enchanting snowscape, including cultural, culinary and wellness activities. New this year, guests can glide effortlessly on a Moonbike, an ultra-light electric snow bike specially designed for descending the mountainside and along quiet forest trails. The hotel team also organizes dog sledding, guided half- and full-day snowshoeing expeditions, as well as trekking in rarely visited areas with expert guides, sledding in the forest by day and night, and ice skating.

For an aerial view of the region, guests can now enjoy several new panoramic helicopter tours over the Three Valleys, the Haute Tarentaise massif or around Mont Blanc. Another possibility is to take off in a hot air balloon at sunrise, to enjoy a panoramic view of the snowy surroundings. Catering to both snow enthusiasts and non-skiers, Aman Le Mélézin has introduced three new five-night stay packages on select dates during the season. Each features exclusive benefits, whether for guests looking to spend as much time as possible on the slopes or for those looking to relax and rejuvenate in the expansive Aman Spa instead.

The Call of Courchevel will be available from December 10-16, Ski or Spa Escape will be available from January 9-February 11, and Spring time Sojourn from March 27-April 9.

WELLENESSE RETREAT

The Aman Le Mélézin is as much an attraction itself as the landscape that forms its exquisite backdrop. The 31 spacious rooms and suites feature picture windows with views of the mountains, forest or slopes, and are decorated in a palette of soft, Alpine-inspired hues, with luxurious oak paneling and fine French furnishings. Many have their own private balconies, and several offer outdoor Norwegian baths.

Guests can rejuvenate in the 767 square meter Holistic Spa, an oasis of tranquility and true rejuvenation. Spanning two entire floors of the property, the Aman Spa has five spacious treatment rooms, including two double suites and a Thai massage suite; the traditional Turkish hammam is perfect for soothing and receiving hot stone massages and energizing Himalayan salt scrub experiences.

The large yoga studio includes TRX equipment and is complemented by a fitness studio, relaxation lounge and extensive hydrotherapy areas, including a 14-meter indoor pool, experience showers, cold pool and wooden sauna. The spa menu has been carefully designed to allow guests to relax.

This winter, Aman Le Mélézin will offer a new spa package, the Alpine Holistic Renewal, which includes three 110-minute treatments designed to provide nourishing warmth and hydration after exposure to wind and cold:

  • The first treatment, Release, incorporates a dry massage using Thai techniques to release tension, relax muscles and loosen stiff joints.
  • The second, Rebalance, uses a body wrap and light lymphatic drainage to remove excess water and toxins from the body.
  • The third treatment, Renew, includes a soft, dry body scrub, an invigorating back massage and a hydrating facial glow to leave clients feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

This winter, Aman Le Mélézin will also welcome two renowned practitioners. Andreas Anell, a Swedish physical therapist, will be in residence at the hotel from December 18 to January 8. With a career spanning more than 15 years, Andreas has developed an in-depth knowledge of ergonomics and offers healthy posture coaching, as well as highly technical treatments to help resolve sports injuries and relieve muscle pain. Meanwhile, Julian Sebastian, a Spanish massage therapist, will be in residence at the hotel from February 12 to March 12. Julian has spent many years working for several large hotels, offering his clients a variety of complex massages. He is certified in sports injury rehabilitation therapies and is a qualified Kobido and Guasha practitioner.

Nama Japanese Restaurant

Guests of Aman Le Mélézin are warmly welcomed at Nama, the hotel’s unique Japanese restaurant. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Nama serves authentic cuisine including sushi, sashimi and signature dishes such as succulent wagyu beef and otoro tuna. The menu also features a range of comforting ramen dishes, each prepared with a hearty base of shoyu (soy sauce), shio (salt) or miso (soy). This winter, Aman Le Mélézin will offer a Japanese tea experience and matcha tea ceremony: each afternoon guests will be invited to discover a wide variety of teas, while enjoying delicious Japanese pastries.
