Blumarine Leaves Soft Romance Behind, Embracing Dark Allure and Untamed Sensuality.
February 28, 2025- Milan Fashion Week, Blumarine Fall/Winter 2025/26

Blumarine turns a new page. Gone are the sugary pastels and delicate florals. David Koma’s vision is sharp, seductive, and untamed. His debut at Milan Fashion Week introduces a new era with a single, decisive stroke.
The transformation starts with color. Black dominates. Red cuts through. White disrupts. The once-iconic rose vanishes, replaced by the chardon—a thorny bloom, wild and unyielding. It frames the runway in inky bouquets, climbs up sheer silk dresses, and glows in metallic embroidery, as a symbol.
Every silhouette pulses with tension. Rigid tailoring clashes with sheer fabrics. Corsetry grips the waist while silk chiffon drapes effortlessly. Wool coats sculpt the body, their edges softened by fur. It’s a delicate push and pull. Structure and fluidity. Strength and sensuality.
Koma’s Blumarine woman is dangerous, magnetic, and entirely in control!

Seduction Wrapped in Armor
Everything feels tactile. Fur spills over collars, cuffs, and hems. Cropped bomber jackets hug the body, while full-length coats sweep the floor. The volume is deliberate—powerful, never overwhelming.
Then, the details hit like a shockwave. Metal eyelets puncture soft fabrics, like piercing through silk. Laced leather boots rise high, corseted like a second skin. Sheer gloves extend past the elbow, disrupting an otherwise bare arm. Cardigans, once gentle, now bristle with thorny motifs. The contrast is magnetic.
Even denim is transformed. Low-slung baggy jeans shimmer with metallic embroidery, chardon vines twisting through the seams. It’s a quiet rebellion, one that simmers under the surface before taking over completely.

The New Blumarine Woman
She walks with purpose. Sheer corsetry layered over opaque tights. A sharp-shouldered blazer cinched tight at the waist. She wears a tailored business suit under a voluminous fur coat, balancing control and excess. Every look builds on contrast—soft yet dangerous, romantic yet rebellious.
David Koma’s Blumarine is cinematic! He borrows from Anna Magnani’s intensity, Monica Bellucci’s sensuality. He sees fashion as film, each look is a character, each silhouette a statement.
The soundtrack sets the tone—“Obsession. Desire. Iconic. Sensual.” Words whispered, then spoken, then shouted. The Blumarine woman doesn’t just exist—she commands.
