THE HÔTEL CHÂTEAU DU GRAND LUCÉ, NESTLED IN THE PERCHE REGION OF FRANCE, IS AN ESCAPE INTO A GRANDIOSE NEOCLASSICAL PAST CREATED BY BARON JACQUES PINEAU DE VIENNAY III IN 1750. WITH ITS DISTINCTIVE ROOMS, FINE DINING, AND ENCHANTING GARDENS, THE CHÂTEAU OFFERS A TIMELESS RETREAT.

Hidden in the serene Perche region of France, the Hôtel Château du Grand Lucé is a rare gem where history and elegance intertwine. This majestic neoclassical château, designed by Baron Jacques Pineau de Viennay III in 1750, whisks you away from the modern world to a bygone era.

The story of Hôtel Château du Grand Lucé is truly fascinating. Legend has it that Baron de Lucé passed away when the chateau was finished. Whether from joy or sadness, his creation has undeniably enchanted many. Today, even high-profile guests like Antoine Arnault from LVMH choose this chateau for their escapes.

Originally, the baron, a close friend of King Louis XV, inherited the land and a medieval castle. In 1750, he replaced it with the elegant neoclassical château we admire today. Over the years, it has served many roles—hospital during World War I, tourist attraction, and more. In 2003, American designer Timothy Corrigan bought and restored it. In 2020, it reopened as a luxury hotel.

Hôtel Château du Grand Lucé features 17 unique rooms and suites. Twelve have been recently updated and are available for booking. The other five, styled by Timothy Corrigan, are perfect for group stays. Each room is a work of art, echoing 18th-century luxury with modern touches.

Expect beautiful limestone floors, oak panels, and fine furnishings. Some rooms offer stunning garden views, and all are designed to transport you back in time while ensuring your comfort.

Dining at the chateau is a feast for the senses. Breakfast includes freshly baked croissants, farm yogurt, and rich biodynamic coffee. Enjoy homemade jams and a variety of continental options. For lunch, the chef prepares delightful picnic baskets. Enjoy them by the pool, in the garden, or while exploring on a bike.

Dinner is served at Le Lucé, the chateau’s elegant restaurant. The chef offers a modern take on French classics. Enjoy dishes like lobster-and-cherry carpaccio and chocolate-olive mousse. All ingredients are locally sourced, with produce grown right on the estate.

The chateau’s gardens are enchanting. Wander through manicured lawns, admire intricate topiaries, and enjoy colorful rose beds. Explore the exotic garden and the kitchen garden. For fun, try the pétanque court or the croquet lawn.

Relax by the pool or take a bike ride through the scenic area. Nearby, discover the charming village of Mortagne-en-Perche and the grand Château du Lude.

Hôtel Château du Grand Lucé combines modern amenities with historic charm. Enjoy the circular pool, relax at the spa, or work out at the fitness center. Sip on local spirits and savor thoughtful touches like crystal carafes and local treats.
