Venice Carnival has long celebrated the art of disguise. For its first Venetian masquerade edition, The Grand Ball of Princes and Princesses Monte-Carlo embraces that tradition with The Royal Masquerade Ball, hosted at the historic Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal, steps from St. Mark's Square.

Conceived by Noble Monte-Carlo, the evening draws on the ceremonial splendor of European courts and the theatrical heritage of Venetian Carnival. Guests are invited to dress in elaborate historical costumes or couture eveningwear, accompanied by masks that conceal their identities.

The festivities begin with a welcome cocktail reception before moving into the hotel's Ridotto ballroom for a gala dinner and live performances. Dancing follows, with the celebration continuing late into the night.

The setting carries its own history. The hotel's Palazzo Dandolo once housed Venice's famous Ridotto, a public gambling establishment associated with the city's eighteenth-century Carnival society and the adventures of Giacomo Casanova.

With its masked dress code, historic ballroom, and Monte-Carlo-inspired gala program, the event offers a contemporary interpretation of Venice's aristocratic Carnival traditions.
