<p class="has-drop-cap">For centuries, the <strong>Venice Carnival</strong> has been an extraordinary expression of theatrical elegance, elaborate disguise, and Venetian high society. Behind ornate masks and extravagant period costumes, the city's historic palaces revive the splendor of eighteenth-century festivities, while its canals, squares, and winding streets become a stage for public celebrations.</p><p>The Carnival's most coveted experiences unfold behind palace doors. <strong>Il Ballo del Doge</strong>, the celebrated masquerade created by <strong>Antonia Sautter</strong>, takes place on February 6, combining elaborate scenography, artistic performances, and haute couture-inspired costumes in one of the season's most anticipated private gatherings.</p><p>At <strong>Ca’ Vendramin Calergi</strong>, the <em>Official Carnival Dinner Show</em> presents an immersive evening of fine dining, live music, dance, acrobatics, and theatrical entertainment. Guests attend in traditional period costume and masks, with premium tables available for an enhanced view of the performances.</p><p>Beyond the private celebrations, the Carnival preserves its Venetian traditions through the <em>Festa delle Marie</em>, masked processions, street theater, and performances throughout the historic center.
