THE EXCEPTION THAT CONFIRMS THE RULE
For more than 30 years, the Swiss watch manufacturer Frédérique Constant has championed making Swiss Made luxury watchmaking accessible to the greatest number. This adage, which has since largely inspired many brands, remains more than ever valid … with one exception with the arrival of an 18-karat rose gold version of Highlife Perpetual Calendar Manufacture. It is an exceptional piece, for discerning collectors. Only 30 copies will be published for the world.
A LONG-AWAITED REBIRTH
With this rare piece, Frédérique Constant welcomes the return of its Highlife collection. Debuting in 1999, this watch has returned to the forefront in 2020, completely revised. It is distinguished by a redesigned case, within which unfolds a dial decorated with a globe-shaped motif. Symbol of the Earth, perfection of the circle, it is also the icon of a new generation who shares the same ideal of environmental preservation, the desire for a sustainable and reasoned life.
Now available in a diameter of 41mm, the piece also has an integrated bracelet. Hornless, it falls smoothly and naturally on the wrist. This design implies a perfect continuity of the lines of the case and the bracelet, a smooth transition, a natural fluidity that should be almost imperceptible. This bracelet is equipped with a system that makes it interchangeable in a matter of seconds, without tools.
AN EXCEPTIONAL VINTAGE
In this very unique 18-karat rose gold livery, the finely decorated Highlife dial is highlighted more than ever. Perfect readability is ensured by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Rose gold and deep blue respond to each other, complement one another. Each finishing detail is highlighted with original reflections, like the case which alternates between polished and satin surfaces. Each counter (month and leap years, day, date) is radiant. Its indexes are pink gold plated and luminescent. To respect the purity of the case design, all the perpetual calendar correctors have been incorporated, leaving the field open to the only pink gold crown at 3 o’clock.
A COMPLICATION AS POPULAR AS IT IS TECHNICAL
As a perpetual calendar, this new Highlife bears witness to a know-how that Frédérique Constant has patiently built up over the past 30 years.
From design to final quality control, each step in the realization of the Highlife Perpetual Calendar Manufacture is done within the House. Very few Geneva manufactures can display such a degree of watchmaking mastery. This rare 18-carat rose gold livery reinforces the exclusive character of this status.
Powered by the self-winding mechanical Manufacture FC-775 caliber, the Highlife Perpetual Calendar Manufacture in 18-carat pink gold beats at 28,800 vph and offers a 38-hour power reserve. For collectors who love fine mechanics, its movement, with delicate pearl and Côtes de Genève decorations, can be admired through a sapphire crystal case back.
Exclusive to this model, a blue nubuck-finish alligator strap adorns this precious timepiece, produced in 30 copies worldwide, including 5 for France.
