The Austrian Crystal Maison Celebrates 130 Years with a Glittering Los Angeles Showcase

For 130 years, Maison Swarovski has captured the magic of light and transformed it into moments of pure spectacle. From Marilyn Monroe’s sparkle to Elton John’s stage costumes, Hollywood has long been a canvas for its crystals. This fall, that story comes home. The Maison brings its traveling anniversary exhibition, “Masters of Light – 130 Years of Joy”, to Los Angeles. Opening on October 28 with an exclusive evening event, the Exhibition welcomes the public from October 29 for a one-week celebration in the heart of Hollywood.
A Crystal Journey Through Cinema
Step into Swarovski’s world and see how its crystals shaped cinema, fashion, and stage. Dresses that shimmered under spotlights. Jewels that became part of red-carpet history. Costumes that defined entire eras of performance. The Exhibition unfolds as a journey through the Maison’s heritage and its enduring bond with Hollywood glamour.
After stops in Vienna, Milan, Shanghai, and Seoul, Los Angeles has its own perspective. This edition highlights Swarovski’s role in entertainment: from film wardrobes to concert stages and couture runways. Conceived by Giovanna Engelbert, the Maison’s Global Creative Director, and curated by fashion critic Alexander Fury, “Masters of Light – 130 Years of Joy” blends storytelling with spectacle. Expect archive treasures, rare designs, and displays that bring Swarovski’s 130-year history into the present moment.
