In the heart of Barcelona, the Majestic Barcelona Hotel & Spa introduces a new gastronomic experience, moving away from traditional food and wine pairings, this emblematic palace has devised a formula in which wine takes center stage in the culinary journey.
Situated in the luxurious Paseo de Gracia, Majestic Barcelona Hotel & Spa offers a bold reinterpretation of gastronomic traditions. Instead of crafting a menu and then selecting wines to complement it, the culinary team at Majestic designs the menu based on the chosen wines. Each dish now reflects and harmonizes with the flavors, aromas, and textures of the wines, resulting in an extraordinary culinary marriage.
COLLABORATION WITH CASTELL D’ENCÚS CELLAR: A PROMISING VENTURE
The inaugural edition of this culinary escapade features Castell d’Encús cellar, a renowned Catalonian vineyard. Raül Bobet, the vineyard’s owner and one of Spain’s most esteemed winemakers, will personally introduce the wines. Concurrently, David Romero, Majestic’s Executive Chef, will provide insights into the dishes inspired by these elixirs.
Among the pairings on the inaugural menu are a sparkling Taïka 2016, complemented by a white shrimp tartare and zesty green gazpacho, and an aromatic Taleia white 2019 paired with a bouillabaisse of small redfish and crayfish.
Majestic Hotel & Spa Barcelona continually reaffirms its position as a pinnacle of luxury in Barcelona. With accolades such as “Best Hotel Breakfast in Europe 2018” and “Best Hotel City Terrace in Europe 2019,” this palace ensures an unparalleled experience for its guests.
The ‘Dîners Œnologiques‘ initiative by Majestic Barcelona is more than a mere culinary event; it represents a revolution in the art of gastronomy and œnology. With carefully curated pairings and a menu enriched by exquisite wines, each dinner promises to be a sensory journey satisfying even the most discerning palates.
