Mouton Cadet draws its freshness and minerality from the soils of the Bordeaux terroirs on which it is grown. These predominantly clay and limestone are very favorable to white grape varieties. Minerality and freshness are provided by the limestone rock, while the clays constitute a soil of predilection for the aromatic expression typical of Sauvignon Blanc.

Mouton Cadet is the result of a rigorous selection of grapes from partner winegrowers in the Bordeaux region of Entre-Deux-Mers. The know-how of the Mouton Cadet oenologists, combined with that of the producers, made it possible to express the best of the 2019 vintage by cultivating the vines according to the quality required for Mouton Cadet. The expertise of the teams, combined with a controlled winemaking process, have revealed the freshness and character of Sauvignon Blanc as well as the roundness and rich aromas of Semillon. After aging in vats on fine lees with stirring, this wine delivers the dynamic expression and authenticity of its terroir.

TASTING NOTES:

With its shiny color and golden reflections, Mouton Cadet Blanc 2019 reveals notes of citrus and tropical fruit as well as a hint of yuzu. A fresh and mineral wine enhanced by light aromas of boxwood. With this 2019 vintage, Mouton Cadet offers a fruity and crystalline white that does not lack character, like the terroir where it was born.
