From February 1st to 4th, 2024, get ready to be transported to the vibrant streets of Tokyo as the Tokyosaï art and lifestyle festival makes its debut in the Paris region at the Magasins Généraux in Pantin. This four-day festival is packed with contemporary art, design, music, gastronomy, and all things Japanese, brought to you in collaboration with Japanese sportswear brand Asics.
Step into a world of creativity where Tokyo’s energy is at every corner. This is exactly what Tokyosaï promises, presenting the best of Japanese culture “in the broadest sense”, with installations by talented artists including photographers Yuni Yoshida and Mani Kiyoshi, graphic design guru Yamanote Yamanote, illustrator extraordinaire Obana Kenichi and digital dynamos Kota Yamaji and Kazuhiro Aihara.
Immerse yourself in the world of Japanese goodies at this concept store created in partnership with trendy magazine Tempura. From elegant stationery and original home decor to a treasure trove of handicrafts, it’s a shopper’s paradise. And don’t miss the Art Toys section, where vintage vinyl toys from the 70s and 80s come to life in all their colorful splendor.
When the sun goes down on February 3, join the party Tokyo-style at the Kobako-inspired nightclub hosted by Cabaret Recording and DJs Masda and Eris. And let’s not forget the food! Indulge in authentic Japanese cuisine at the Café Shiba pop-up café, savor hand rolls and delicious finger foods at the Doki Doki restaurant, and wash it all down with a selection of sake, wine, umeshu and beer at the Maison du Saké bar.
