Showcasing Over 100 Jewels, Iconic Campaigns, and Modern Installations, Pomellato Celebrates Its Artistry at Fosun Foundation Shanghai.

Pomellato has brought a touch of Milanese elegance to Shanghai with its debut exhibition, Art & Jewelry: Pomellato’s Legacy of Creativity and Craftsmanship, From 1967 to Today. This first-ever retrospective dives deep into the jewelry house’s rich heritage. Set against the modern backdrop of the Fosun Foundation Shanghai. The exhibition is open to the public until November 24, inviting visitors to experience Pomellato’s legacy firsthand.

Curated by Alba Cappellieri, head of jewelry design at Politecnico di Milano. This exhibition features over 100 pieces from Pomellato’s archives, highlighting Pomellato’s unique approach to jewelry. Alongside these jewels are historic advertising campaigns captured by world-renowned photographers like Gian Paolo Barbieri, Michel Comte, and Lord Snowdon, all of whom contributed to defining Pomellato’s bold aesthetic.

The retrospective spans three key periods, each reflecting Pomellato’s evolving design approach and its ties to Milan’s avant-garde spirit. The brand’s bold use of colorful stones, unconventional shapes, and artisanal techniques speaks to Milan’s influence on its design DNA. Through this journey, visitors can witness the transformation of Pomellato’s aesthetic from its founding days to the modern era.

Pomellato has also collaborated with artists to create unique installations. Chinese artist Chen Man’s work, alongside an AI-generated portrait series by Milanese artists Alberto Maria Colombo and Anna Paladini, offers a modern take on Pomellato’s artistry.

A GALA TO REMEMBER

The exhibition’s opening night was marked by an exclusive gala dinner hosted by Pomellato CEO Sabina Belli and Chief Marketing Officer Boris Barboni. Guests were treated to an artistic evening featuring an intimate piano performance by acclaimed pianist Wu Muye, playing romantic era classics. Followed by a contemporary rock ballet performed by dancers from the Shanghai Theater Academy. The evening brought together notable figures, including actor Liu Yuning, actress Ma Yili, and Winter Olympics champion Yang Yang. Alongside Pomellato’s media friends and dignitaries like Cai Jinqing, President of Kering Greater China, and Tiziana D’Angelo, Consul General of Italy in Shanghai.

The exhibition marks a significant milestone in Pomellato’s history, bringing its creative journey and craftsmanship to an international audience.
