Borsalino Eyewear debuts the Borsalino x Ophy capsule

For decades, Borsalino has defined Italian elegance through its iconic hats, worn by legends and style connoisseurs. Now, the brand turns a new page, reentering the eyewear world with a capsule collection created in collaboration with Ophy Eyewear. Unveiled at Mido 2025 (February 8-10), the collection introduces four models: “Jean,” “Alain,” “Ingrid,” and “Marcello”—*a tribute to the cinematic icons who embodied effortless sophistication.
Borsalino, the historic Piedmontese hatmaker, last ventured into eyewear in the early 2000s. Now, under the leadership of Haeres Equita, the brand returns to the category by partnering with Ophy, a young Italian eyewear house known for its architectural approach to design.
The Collection:
Crafted from high-quality cellulose acetate, the collection features essential geometric lines and distinctive details. It is available in three classic color variations:
Dark brown tortoiseshell – A nod to classic sophistication.
Elegant black – A sleek, timeless choice.
Light tortoiseshell – A bold yet versatile statement.
Each frame is finished with a golden Borsalino logo, a design element inspired by the iconic crosspiece found on Borsalino’s legendary hats.

The Borsalino x Ophy sunglasses will launch between late March and April 2025, priced at €330. They will be available in Borsalino’s flagship boutiques, offering a firsthand look at the craftsmanship behind each piece.
