Lisboa Fashion Week 2026: Shows, Art And Fashion Across Lisbon

Lisboa Fashion Week places the city at the heart of the experience this season. Titled MODALISBOA PRIORITY, the 67th edition spreads the fashion calendar across some of Lisbon’s strongest cultural addresses, from MUDE – Museu do Design and Pátio da Galé to MAAT Central, Palácio Nacional da Ajuda – Museu do Tesouro Real and Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes.

MODALISBOA PRIORITY runs from October 7 to 11, with a fashion photography exhibition tracing more than three decades of ModaLisboa, Wearable Art – 3rd Skin at MUDE, the SANGUE NOVO young designers competition, a ModaLisboa pop-up at Moldo Studios and an OFF program across the city.

The Venues Set The Tone

Pátio da Galé is the main address of the week. Set on the western side of Praça do Comércio, the historic courtyard occupies part of the former royal palace complex that stood here before the 1755 earthquake. Its cloisters and pale Portuguese limestone floor were restored for contemporary events, while the scale and architecture of the square remain unmistakably Lisbon.

A few streets away, MUDE – Museu do Design shifts the setting from historic grandeur to contemporary design. The museum hosts presentations, talks, and Wearable Art – 3rd Skin, placing fashion within a collection devoted to design, material culture, and visual language.

In Ajuda, Palácio Nacional da Ajuda – Museu do Tesouro Real introduces another register entirely. Construction of the neoclassical palace began in 1796, and it later became the official residence of the Portuguese royal family under Luís I. Its ceremonial interiors and royal collections make it one of the most distinctive locations on the ModaLisboa itinerary.

MAAT Central takes the program west to Belém. Housed in the former Central Tejo power station, the industrial landmark retains its monumental turbine halls, boilers and original machinery. The inaugural MODAPORTUGAL International Conference is staged here, adding one of Lisbon’s most recognizable architectural spaces to the week.

Prova Dos Nove: 35 Years Of Portuguese Fashion Photography

Prova dos Nove: Fashion Photography 1991–Present at Sociedade Nacional de Belas-Artes, curated by Paulo Gomes, gathers work by nine photographers connected to ModaLisboa across different periods: Carlos Ramos, Carlos Teixeira, Inês Gonçalves, Pedro Cláudio, Pedro Ferreira, Ricardo Santos, Rita Lino, Rui Aguiar and Rui Palma.

The exhibition traces more than three decades of Portuguese fashion through the photographers who shaped its image.

Wearable Art – 3rd Skin At MUDE

At MUDE, Wearable Art – 3rd Skin sits somewhere between fashion, jewelry and contemporary art. Curated by Marita Setas Ferro, the exhibition features Amanda Stumpf, Armin Najib, CARLA_M, Henar Iglesias, Joana Santos, Kolovrat, Nasim Javid, Noura Alserkal, Olga Noronha, Taibe Palacios and Valentim Quaresma.

The works explore the body through sculptural jewelry, textile pieces and wearable objects, with volume, proportion and movement playing a central role. Some pieces alter the silhouette through exaggerated scale and structure, while others sit closer to collectible design. The mix of fashion, craftsmanship and sculpture makes the exhibition a natural fit for MUDE.

SANGUE NOVO: The Names To Watch

If you want to see who may be on the main ModaLisboa calendar next, SANGUE NOVO is the appointment to know. Ten young designers have been selected for the first stage of the competition: Albert Porta, Alexandra Sousa, Catarina Pica, Elio, Francisco Martinho, Granatum, João Pecuro, Marta Amorim, Matheus Dauzaker and Ronni.

They will present their work at Pátio da Galé on October 9. Five will continue to the next stage and develop another collection for March 2027.

The Shows To Know

The runway calendar starts at MUDE with Béhen and AD HOC, the collaboration between Constança Entrudo and Marie Hazard.

On October 9, the schedule shifts to Pátio da Galé. Adolfo Domínguez makes its Lisboa Fashion Week debut, followed by Ariana Orrico, Francisca Nabinho and Luís Carvalho.

Saturday is one of the busiest days. Carlos Gil, Roselyn Silva, Gonçalo Peixoto, Kolovrat and Nuno Baltazar are among the names on the calendar. Sunday closes with DuarteHajime, Luís Onofre, Valentim Quaresma, 2B and Dino Alves, alongside WORKSTATION designers Bárbara Atanásio and Çal Pfungst.

The official ModaLisboa pop-up is hosted at Moldo Studios. This is where you can spend more time with the designers after seeing them on the schedule.
