Etro SS27 Turns Bohemian Romance Into a Lighter Summer Fantasy

Etro SS27 floated somewhere between bohemian romance and summer ease. Titled Halo, the collection softened the maison’s familiar paisley, fringe, and print vocabulary into something lighter, more diaphanous, and far less weighed down by its own history.

Effortless and unstudied. Vaporous dresses skimmed the body, short hems stretched into longer trailing panels, and transparent fabrics revealed just enough skin to keep the mood sensual. Etro’s prints were still unmistakable, yet the paisley appeared blurred, enlarged, fragmented, or almost dissolved into the fabric.

Paisley, Transparency, and a Softer Allure

Etro has always belonged to women who enjoy color, print, and a little theatricality. Halo kept that instinct intact, only with more air between the ideas. A vaporous dress could sit beside lean trousers. Soft transparency met suede blousons and denim. Paisley drifted across lighter fabrics instead of dominating the entire look. The result was less maximalist than the Etro we know, but no less recognizable.

Color followed the same lighter hand. Earthier shades, washed neutrals, warm browns, softened reds, and more vivid accents appeared without overwhelming the prints. The palette let the fabrics and motifs breathe.

Bohemian Accessories With a ’70s Allure

The same sensuality continued in the finishing touches. Amber and rose-tinted shield sunglasses brought a distinctly ’70s glamour to the softer looks, especially against peach, sand, ochre, and faded paisley. Chunky gold chains, shell-like pendants, asymmetric earrings, and elongated drops turned even the lightest looks into chic bohemian statements. Small shoulder bags appeared in striped canvas with tan leather trim, burgundy, woven finishes, and tasselled details that echoed Etro’s fringe without repeating it too literally.
