Moschino Spring Summer 2027 Is Bright, Eccentric, And Cleverly Subversive

Simone Rizzo And Loris Messina Recast Moschino Through Acid Color, Sculptural Volume, Contemporary Satire, And A Sharper Luxury Attitude
Moschino Spring Summer 2027 marks the first collection by Co-Creative Directors Simone Rizzo and Loris Messina, and their approach to the maison is already clear. The former Sunnei founders have studied Franco Moschino closely, but imitation holds little interest. What fascinates them is the intelligence within his irreverence: fashion executed with precision, yet witty enough to challenge the world it inhabits.
Their first Moschino statement takes over the rooftop of a Milan parking garage, with hundreds of people crossing the space against the models. An intentionally ordinary setting for a maison anything but ordinary. Rizzo and Messina want Moschino among people, in the city, and firmly in the present. Judging by the fashion, they also want it exuberant.

A Kaleidoscope Of Color
Yellow is everywhere. Lemon brightens a sweeping coat, flashes through checked jackets, and punctuates accessories. Turquoise meets deep plum. Acid green interrupts white. Cobalt sits against black. Tomato red, orange, chocolate, burgundy, pistachio, and olive complete a wonderfully unruly jeu de couleurs.
Effortlessly confident combinations pair a plum blouse with a turquoise puffed mini, a yellow bag with electric blue pumps, chocolate with brilliant yellow, and red with orange. Checked jackets mix yellow, black, white, and pink with Moschino’s natural irreverence.
Volume adds another playful note. Bubble hems rise high above the knee. Full skirts swing with exaggerated movement. Sleeves balloon. Pleats burst beneath otherwise restrained dresses and shirts. Feathered trims in orange, lime, and black interrupt neat lines with flashes of extravagance.
Yet the collection has plenty of quieter pleasures. A cobalt blazer over white. A long chocolate dress. An olive skirt with generous volume. Navy columns. Crisp shirting. Easy trousers. Oversized bags in yellow, blue, green, pink, and black. Even at its most eccentric, the fashion remains beautifully composed.

The Joke Is In The Idea
For Rizzo and Messina, Moschino’s humor does not require another slogan stamped across a T-shirt. Their satire targets the obsessions of now.
The BBL dress pushes the derriere into absurd territory, turning contemporary cosmetic ideals into fashion caricature. A padded muscle T-shirt applies the same treatment to hyper-masculinity. Anatomical graphics distort the body further, joined by graffiti prints and proportions that occasionally flirt with the ridiculous.
Rizzo and Messina understand Franco Moschino’s irreverence as more than visual provocation. His jokes often carried a sharper critique of status, consumption, vanity, and fashion itself, and the new Creative Directors pick up that instinct without recycling the old imagery.
Their targets belong firmly to 2027. Body modification, gym-built ideals, cosmetic perfection, and the constant performance of identity all enter Moschino’s line of fire. The references are contemporary, the satire is sharper, and the maison still knows exactly where to aim.
