Montreux is turning up the jazz vibes once again! From October 16 to 19, 2024, the Montreux Jazz Festival Residency will fill the Petit Palais at Fairmont Le Montreux Palace with rhythm and soul. Hosted by the Montreux Jazz Artists Foundation (MJAF), this four-day autumn event brings together new talents and iconic artists from around the globe. The best part? A FESTIVAL FOR CREATIVITY AND EXCHANGE
For almost six decades, Montreux has been the ultimate destination for jazz lovers. This October, the tradition continues with a residency pairing emerging talents with music legends like Angélique Kidjo, Jeff Mills, and Theo Croker. The goal is simple: to create a collaborative space where young artists can learn, perform, and grow under the guidance of seasoned mentors. On the menu: exciting blend of workshops, jam sessions, and intimate showcases—all designed to enrich and inspire.
EVENINGS FULL OF MUSIC
Every evening kicks off at 6 PM, creating a buzzing atmosphere perfect for music lovers. The program includes everything from artist-led workshops to cozy showcases featuring musicians backed by the MJAF. Highlights include local artists like Marlin, shining in the R&B scene, and the soulful Belgian singer Reinel Bakole, who will set the stage on fire with their distinct sounds.
