MAISON VEUVE CLICQUOT INVITES WINE AMATEURS TO AN EXPERIENCE IN THE HEART OF THEIR RICH VINEYARDS – TASTINGS, CELLAR TOURS, PICNICS AND MORE.

Sharing their know-how and organizing tastings for their guests is at the heart of the oenological events organized by domain Veuve Clicquot. Through visits to their cellars and vineyards in Champagne-Ardenne, North East of France, as well as Rosé picnics in the lovely Parc du Manoir de Verzy, the maison shares its deep passion for champagne with amateurs, curious and professionals. With its 390 hectares spread over 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premiers Crus in Champagne, Veuve Clicquot owns one of the largest vineyards in Champagne in terms of area and quality. This exceptional heritage, built up over the centuries, bears the particular imprint of Madame Clicquot, who at the time acquired the best vineyards that are now classified as Grands Crus.

DISCOVERING THE VINEYARDS

Veuve Clicquot welcomes its visitors to an exceptional environment in the heart of a region filled with magnificent landscapes. Immersion in the vineyards will allow you to understand these very special soils, for a journey from the vine to the wine.

From vine to wine (2 hours): This experience consists first in visiting the vineyard, on foot or by bike, to understand the life cycle of a grape variety and the human work involved in its production. The visit is concluded by the tasting of an Extra Brut Extra Old cuvée, composed only of rare reserve wines, from one of the richest and most varied collections of reserve wines in Champagne.

Visit the cellars, taste the emblematic vintages: Visiting the Veuve Clicquot cellars means discovering a know-how, quality and precision unique in the world. With the largest and most dense network of pits and a vast underground labyrinth of 24 km, Veuve Clicquot has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 4, 2015.

Cellar Secrets (1h30: 45 mins tour & 45 mins tasting): Visit the cellars and taste the Brut Carte Jaune and Vintage 2012 cuvées, discover the history of the House and learn about the different stages of Champagne vinification.

Lunch on the grass in the park of the Manoir de Verzy: For a lunch on the lawn, Parc du Manoir de Verzy welcomes you with a view of the Grands Crus stretching from East to West, dominating the valley. Guests can savor the setting, which combines charm and tranquility, to enjoy a picnic imagined by Veuve Clicquot: for the occasion, products of the region are combined with the House’s Rosé Non-Vintage wines for an exquisite experience with your feet on the grass…
