Maison Ruinart unveils a rare creation at 4, rue des Crayères in Reims: three Ruinart Rosé Jeroboams swathed in haute craftsmanship by Marie Berthouloux, Anaïs Jarnoux, and Marie Drouet. What begins as a rosé blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay evolves into an embroidered microcosm of Champagne’s biodiversity—twisting vines, serrated leaves, and wild bark captured in thread, textile, and wicker.
Savoir-Faire Woven into Vineyards
After a creative residency at Maison Ruinart, textile embroiderer Marie Berthouloux sculpted a story. Her raised embroideries echo the terroir of Champagne: vine tendrils, bark textures, chardonnay leaves. Working exclusively with materials used in Ruinart’s bottling process. Gold wire from the muselets, pinkish copper from capsule tops—Berthouloux reclaims and repurposes the very DNA of the bottle.
To bring her embroidery to life, Anaïs Jarnoux created a bespoke textile support that mimics the shape of the bottle. Then, Marie Drouet, basket maker, enclosed the piece in a hand-woven wicker sheath, itself shaped like the Jeroboam. Together, they built a shrine of savoir-faire—a poetic fusion of art, wine, and earth.
A Rosé Legacy, Reimagined
The Jeroboam format enhances the aging potential of Ruinart Rosé—it reinforces its aura. With its delicate blend of 45% Chardonnay and 55% Pinot Noir, the wine pays tribute to the Maison’s vision in 1764, when it became the first to commercialize rosé champagne.
Now, in 2025, that spirit lives on through Ruinart Studio, the brand’s initiative spotlighting contemporary artisans. This limited-edition series of only three pieces continues that legacy. With 320 hours of artisanal labor echoing centuries of Champagne heritage.
