Camus Celebrates 50 Years With Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Through a Private Collection Cognac

January 26, 2026 Camus Private Collection Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Cognac

Four Generations of the Camus Family Meet a 70 Year Old Eau de Vie in a Limited Edition Decanter Honoring Gastronomy and Brotherhood.

Half a century of family history lands in a single bottle. Camus Private Collection Chaîne des Rôtisseurs honors four generations of commitment between the Charente Maison and the international gastronomic confraternity. From Michel Camus, the first family leader inducted into Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, to Ryan Camus, son of Cyril Camus, recently entering the brotherhood, this anniversary cognac becomes a symbol of continuity.

"Putting your name on a bottle goes beyond commerce. It's a personal commitment to deliver cognac you're proud of," Michel Camus used to say. This blend follows that philosophy.

An Assembly Where Taste Tells History

Eaux de vie aged over a decade form the base. A rare old cognac dating back nearly 70 years, to when Michel Camus joined the Chaîne, enriches the blend. Aged in coarse grain barrels, it expresses the vigor and depth the confraternity's palates cherish.

The nose delivers warm bouquet of ripe fruits and nuts, lifted by rancio that evokes time's patina. On the palate, the ample, structured attack stretches across subtle tannins and a persistent finish, long as a conversation between friends at table.

This cognac speaks to initiates. Robust, complex, moving. Memory becomes liquid matter.

A Commemorative Object for Connoisseurs

The Camus Private Collection decanter wears a moiré red ribbon and the official Chaîne des Rôtisseurs insignia. The bottle becomes a commemorative jewel celebrating Haute Gastronomy and the bond between the art of drinking and the art of living.

Originally reserved for confraternity members, this limited edition now opens to all rare cognac enthusiasts. This marks a new era for Camus Private Collections, where the creation mirrors an exceptional partnership.

Camus, Cognac Craft Since 1863

Founded over 160 years ago, Maison Camus embodies a singular cognac vision: aromatic, poetic, profoundly human. Under Cyril Camus's direction, the family Maison pursues excellence through Ateliers Camus, a laboratory for personalization and collaboration with master artisans including crystal makers, goldsmiths, embroiderers, and trunk makers.

Each Ateliers decanter becomes a multisensory artwork, an extension of Cellar Master Julie Landreau's passion for textures, aromas, and emotions.
