Villa d'Este in Cernobbio reopened its gates on March 16, inaugurating the Villa d'Este 154th Season 2026 on Lake Como. The Hotel has been doing this since 1873, and the ritual never loses its weight. New this year at the helm of the kitchen: Chef Andrea Guerini, whose first major moment comes with Easter lunch on April 5. The summer calendar runs from May through September with events ranging from Electric Yachting to One Lake One Car to a private musical evening in the Mosaic Garden. The season opens on the water with Electric Yachting, Villa d'Este's dedicated weekend for sustainable nautical innovation. Leading Italian universities, the Alessandro Volta Foundation, and the Ernesto Riva Shipyard gather to showcase the most advanced electric boating technology on Lake Como. The centerpiece of the season and one of the most prestigious automotive weekends in the world. Fifty rare automobiles competing across six categories on the grounds of Villa d'Este and Villa Erba. One Lake One Car

Villa d'Este and the Registro Italiano Alfa Romeo bring back the annual tribute to the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS Coupé Villa d'Este, the car that won here in 1949 and gave this concours its most romantic chapter. Fewer than twenty survive. Villa d'Este owns one. On June 6 they all come back to the grounds where it started. A lunch on the terrace overlooking the lake is the only way to do this day properly. Historic boats return to Lake Como in collaboration with Asdec and the Museo Barca Lariana, with a carousel of participating vessels on the water and a temporary exhibition of the museum's most fascinating boats in the hotel park from September 9 to 19. The quietest and most atmospheric event of the season. Pair it with two nights at Villa d'Este in early September when the lake is at its most beautiful and the summer crowds have thinned.
