Bvlgari Serpenti Infinito New York Unveils auruBOROS on the High Line
September 11, 2026
auruBOROS Marks the Maison’s First Public Art Installation in the United States
Bvlgari Serpenti Infinito New York has taken over the High Line with auruBOROS — Urban Memory and Collective Dream, a monumental gold installation rising above Little West 12th Street through September 20, 2026. Created by Berlin-based artists Yena Young and Marco Canevacci of Plastique Fantastique, the work marks Bvlgari’s first public art installation in the United States and the latest chapter in its global Serpenti Infinito project.
Two intertwined pneumatic forms appear to emerge from beneath the High Line, breaking the closed circle of the ancient ouroboros into a structure that moves through the park. You can walk beneath and around the installation as its reflective gold surface changes with the light, weather, and movement of people passing through the site.
Plastique Fantastique Reworks the Serpenti Symbol
Plastique Fantastique reinterprets Bvlgari’s serpent through two monumental gold coils inspired by the ouroboros, the ancient symbol of a serpent consuming its own tail. Rather than closing the form into a circle, the artists let the structure unfold across the High Line.
The pneumatic installation moves between sculpture and architecture, with a segmented gold surface that recalls the construction of Bvlgari’s Tubogas jewelry.
auruBOROS is the latest chapter of Serpenti Infinito, following earlier editions in Shanghai in 2023, and Seoul and Mumbai in 2025. In New York, Bvlgari takes the project into public space, placing the work directly on the High Line rather than inside a gallery or exhibition venue.
Anne Hathaway, Dua Lipa and Lisa at the Opening Night
Bvlgari unveiled auruBOROS on September 9, one day before the installation opened to the public on the High Line. Anne Hathaway, Dua Lipa and Lisa attended the launch alongside Hudson Williams, Joey King and Caleb McLaughlin. The evening continued at Boom at The Standard, where Kaytranada, Mona Matsuoka and Gjin Lipa played DJ sets before Andra Day performed live.
Bvlgari also introduced new one-of-a-kind High Jewelry pieces for the New York edition of Serpenti Infinito. Hathaway wore the transformable Serpenti Falling Drops necklace, Dua Lipa wore the Serpenti Helix High Jewelry necklace and Lisa debuted the Serpenti Flag necklace.
Serpenti Infinito Continues Across New York
The High Line installation is part of a wider Serpenti Infinito program across New York. At the Bvlgari Fifth Avenue flagship, Italian artisans demonstrate the craftsmanship behind Serpenti jewelry and watches on September 10 and 11. The program then moves to the Hudson Yards boutique on September 12 and 13, with additional US stops scheduled later in the month.
The Fifth Avenue flagship also features a dedicated Serpenti installation, connecting the High Line project with Bvlgari’s New York boutiques.
