The collaboratively created capsule brings together Francesco Russo‘s iconic designs – a pair of boots, loafers, and three models of stilettos – captured in an advertising campaign directed by Charles de Vilmorin himself. This is not the first collaboration between the two men, as Charles de Vilmorin hand-painted Francesco Russo’s shoes for his Spring-Summer 2021 presentation.
Each pair is adorned with Charles de Vilmorin’s hand-painted designs printed on leather. The collection combines the vivid imagination of Charles de Vilmorin with the ergonomic elegance of the designs of Francesco Russo, the most captivating shoe designer in Italian boots.
“Since the launch of his eponymous line in 2020, I have always been amazed by Charles’ imagination and all his designs. It’s a great privilege to have my classic designs serve as a canvas for him to express all of his creativity,” Francesco Russo enthuses in a statement.
“For this collection, I hand-painted the colors and patterns directly onto the shoes in a very instinctive way. What is particularly interesting is the meeting between the traditional know-how of Francesco Russo and the spontaneous and playful way I approach the creation. These pieces are elegant, seductive, creative and colorful,” adds Charles de Vilmorin.
This capsule collection will be available from April 2022 for sale on the Francesco Russo e-shop and in selected wholesalers. Prices will range from 595 euros for the stilettos to 1,500 euros for the boots.
