In St. Moritz, where winter has long served as a backdrop for a certain kind of cultivated escape, Nomad has arrived with its most quietly powerful statement yet. The itinerant collectible design platform has partnered with the Giorgio Armani Group to present its ninth edition inside Villa Beaulieu, a 19th-century residence whose patrician calm mirrors the designer’s own enduring codes.

Titled Giorgio Armani / Unveiled, the Exhibition reflects a shared commitment to restraint, material integrity, and permanence. At its center is Through the Looking Glass: Jane Crisp and Yuta Segawa, curated by Object & Thing founder Abby Bangser, which explores the dialogue between contemporary craft and the refined interiors universe of Armani/Casa. The works unfold with a deliberate quietness; ceramic, form, and surface becoming vehicles for a deeper meditation on proportion and tactility.

A Dialogue Between Craft and Permanence

Nomad’s strength has always been its sensitivity to place. Rather than imposing itself, the exhibition inhabits Villa Beaulieu’s historic interiors, allowing the architecture to frame each object as part of a larger cultural continuum. Here, collectible design is presented as a lived language; intimate, intellectual, and deeply human.

Elsewhere, a presentation organized with Sorgin Gallery introduces a dialogue between Brazilian modernist masters Joaquim Tenreiro and José Zanine Caldas and contemporary makers including Adeline Halot and Joseba Lekuona. The juxtaposition underscores a broader narrative: craftsmanship as an evolving discipline shaped by new perspectives and enduring traditions.

Throughout the week, collectors, artists, and cultural figures will gather for a series of private conversations and salons across St. Moritz.
