Harry Winston Drops Eight Red Horses for Lunar New Year and They're Already Collector Bait
February 7, 2026
The Year of the Horse Gets a 36mm Momento in Rose Gold With Hand Lacquered Relief and Mother of Pearl Clouds.
A red horse rears up at the center of the dial, mid gallop, almost sculpted. Harry Winston has been marking Lunar New Year since 2016, and the brand treats it like ritual. For 2026, the Year of the Horse becomes a 36mm rose gold timepiece in the Harry Winston Moments collection. Eight pieces only as the number eight carries weight in Chinese culture.
The horse, seventh animal in the Chinese zodiac, codes for speed, endurance, freedom. Harry Winston leans into the symbolism hard. The dial is where it all happens.

Harry Winston Lunar New Year 2026 Turns the Dial Into Theater
The horse appears in three dimensional relief, hand lacquered in vivid red. The mane flows in yellow and orange. Blue, yellow, and orange details break up the surface so nothing reads flat. Below, swirling clouds emerge through mother of pearl marquetry, tiny fragments cut and inlaid to give the sky actual depth.
Eight marquise cut diamonds mark the hours, set on a red mother of pearl arch shaped like a horseshoe. At 6 o'clock, an emerald cut diamond, Harry Winston's signature shape, anchors the composition. Luck becomes tactile here. It gets set, lacquered, embedded into the dial itself.

Delicate Engineering in Rose Gold
The Moments case, introduced in 2024, chooses refinement over flash. 18 karat rose gold, 36mm diameter, 9.15mm thick. Two gold rings set with 118 brilliant cut diamonds circle the dial and flow toward the crown at 12 o'clock. An iridescent white pearl caps the crown, symbolizing wisdom and prosperity.
Inside, the Swiss automatic caliber HW2010 delivers 40 hours of power reserve, beats at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), and uses a flat silicon hairspring built to resist magnetic fields and corrosion. The sapphire caseback reveals circular Côtes de Genève finishing and perlage, all done by hand.
A glossy red alligator strap (Mississippiensis) closes with a rose gold ardillon buckle set with 33 diamonds. Total gem count: 151 brilliant cut diamonds (approximately 2.03 carats), 1 emerald cut (approximately 0.09 carat), and 8 marquise cuts (approximately 0.41 carat).
Harry Winston turns symbolism into workshop business. The horse becomes presence, not just sign. Eight pieces for the luckiest number. Freedom rendered in relief and nacre.
