Built by Jacques Couëlle in 1963 on what was once a fishing village shaped by wind and sea, the Hotel carries its history lightly. Roger Moore stayed here during the filming of The Spy Who Loved Me. The jet set followed and never left.
This season, the Hotel returns with the Harrods Suite, designed by Harrods Interior Design Studio. Three independent suites, a private wine cellar, a marble bar, and a terrace with an infinity pool that looks directly over the bay.
The Iconic Pool Sets the Scene
Begin your day at the iconic pool of Hotel Cala di Volpe. A long seawater basin carved into the landscape, refreshed for the 2026 season with updated cabanas, reconfigured lounging areas, and dressed once again by Dolce & Gabbana.
Then you shift the pace. The Shiseido Spa places a stronger focus this season on structured treatments rooted in Japanese ritual. Manual techniques meet advanced skincare protocols, supporting recovery, balance, and sustained energy throughout your stay. The space works as a quiet counterpoint to the pool, drawing you in between long hours outdoors.
Movement stays part of the rhythm. Indoor and outdoor fitness areas, tennis and padel courts, and continued access to the Mouratoglou Academy, with training programs running on-site throughout the season. Or you take it further. At the Pevero Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones, the 18-hole course shapes the experience. Granite formations, natural lakes, and the constant presence of the mistral wind set the tone. Le Grand Draws the Day In
At Hotel Cala di Volpe, the day eventually finds its way back to Le Grand. It always does. Light slides across the room in slow shifts, pulling lunch into view before the terraces even fill. This season carries that movement further. Service opens earlier, lingers longer, and follows the spring rhythm that stretches across Costa Smeralda, where time behaves differently once the island wakes.
A few steps away, the Atrium Bar takes over the afternoon. Aperitivo gathers slowly. Builds through small arrivals, reflections on glass, voices rising as the sun drops toward the sea. Later, the mood shifts again at the Pevero Golf Club, recently awarded Best Wine List at the third edition of the Champagne Perrier-Jouët Golf Restaurant Awards. Lunch extends into the afternoon as play moves across the landscape designed by Robert Trent Jones. Granite ridges hold the light, lakes catch the wind, and the mistral shapes every shot without asking permission. Plates arrive between holes, wine stays open longer than expected, and the day stretches into something slower than schedule.
